Wood Designs Tot Size Book Display

Works well for my 20 month old. Does not take up to much room either. the shelves aren't very wide but you can store a lot of board books back there. I like that it displays a fair amount of books which keeps things tidy. When we had a traditional book shelf in his room he would just empty the whole thing.

I spent hours deciding which bookshelf to get my son for his first birthday, and decided to spend more on this one after looking at the company's web site. I considered the sling bookshelves first, but none of them were made on solid wood bases, only flimsy and toxic particleboard. Then I had it narrowed down to this one or one by A+ Children's Furniture and another company. I chose this one because it seemed it would be the best quality, made in the USA but still affordable, and also because it has shelves on the back side. It is not what I expected. It is sturdy, but it just feels unfinished and cheap for the price. There are staples showing on the plywood shelves that make it look cheap, and the finish is just too basic. I am happy enough with the product but wish I had seen more detailed pictures beforehand. I do think it is probably a fair value given that it came 100% assembled in the box and it is made sustainably in the US.
