Wood Designs Small Bookcase in Tuff Gloss

I love this little shelf. It came completely assembled. It is made of highest quality wood--even the back is real solid wood, not hardboard. The finish is perfect. I bought it for a small bookshelf to keep by my bed because my H was complaining about my bedtime reading books being all over every surface. You can stuff it full of very heavy books and it doesn't sag or wobble at all. Online I thought the color looked like it might be kind of a transparent white wash, but it's not. It's just clear finish, but very pretty nonetheless even with my distressed white bedroom finish. I think it was intended for toddler shelf, and it would work great for that--it's very easy to pick up (empty) and carry around the house with one hand, and it's so strong a medium person could probably sit on it. But it's also perfect for inconspicuous handy bedside book shelf for a serious reader. I just ordered a second to use next to my sewing machine for all my folo size sewing and artsy books. It cost about the same as a particle board shelf that you have to assemble and looks cheap and shaky after you're done putting it together.
