Witt Geocube Recycling Container

This heavy duty garbage recycling bin is really appealing by it's look and it's practical size. I highly recommend it.

The two containers I purchased appear to be durable and they are attractive. I do not like the letter on them. One should say "Bottles, Glass and Paper." One should say "Trash."

This is the fourth shipment for the same item and this time we received the shipment in good condition, it's properly packed with Bubble Cushion. No dents or scratches as we saw on the first 3 units.

These cans look very nice on the outside and they're lightweight yet sturdy. We're using them as central collection sites so the hinged lid makes it easy for people to dump their personal waste containers into the cans, though it would be nicer if there was a pull knob on the lid, rather than having to stick your hand in the hole to pivot the lid up. U-shaped wire bars rest on an inner lip inside the cans. The bars pivot up from where the ends of the bars sit in seating holes in the lip. An owner-provided plastic bag liner slips over the wire bars which hold it in place. The design keeps the bag liner inside of the can for a clean, professional look on the outside. However,the functional design isn't great. The wire bars come out of their seating hole easily when trying to wrap the bag liner over them. Also, the inner lip upon which the wire bars rest catch the bag when it's pulled out, making it hard to remove and often ripping it. I would recommend to the manufacturer that they ditch the wire holder design and instead provide a rigid, removable liner undersized enough that a plastic bag liner could lap over the rigid liner top so the bag is still hidden inside the can. The rigid liner would need to be designed for easy removal.

I bought this for my kitchen - we have a LOT of recycling and I got tired of the ugly paper bag that filled up way too fast. I bought the red one and it looks beautiful and is very functional. The only complaint I have is that the top of the container is a little more narrow than the body and though it holds a lot of recycling, you can't fill it to the top because you can't get the bag out without tearing it to shreds. The top either needs to be revamped or the inside sides should taper in towards the bottom rather than straight down. We were able to place some cardboard inside and it does help the situation. It just needs a little re-design. Bottom line, I would buy it again!

I was impressed right away by the quality of the containers and sturdiness of the product. Decals were easy to apply. Colors are beautiful. We purchased the 32 gallon container as we recycle a lot of paper in this office and smaller ones for the trash and plastics/cans. I think it's encouraged everyone in the office to start recycling, plus we took away our individual trash cans from our desk and now have these containers centrally located for everyone to use.

Exactly what I wanted for shredding and recycling.

This container works fine but is very over priced for what you get.
