Lovely Cabinet with some challenges
Teresa from Portland, OR – Verified Buyer
The wood is lovely and the frame goes together easily. The drawer slides nicely. The glass doors are heavy. It looks good in my office. Good materials quality, even the back is wood. It will last a long time. The engineering and packing are the reason for a 4 not a 5. The drill holes to hang the doors are a little off and we're still fiddling with washers trying to get the doors to hang evenly. The hardware sent for the shelf does not fit the bookcase, so we are going to the store to get some hangers that work. We were shorted a few screws and had to improvise. I needed my handyman. If the pieces are all there and the engineering is on, I can assemble stuff by myself. Truck delivery was a little rough in my residential area. The delivery guys drove up on our stone steps and destroyed them. I used to hire, train and fire truck drivers, and the driver ought to know better than to try a move like that, especially without a spotter. Pros: Strong and good looking, nice materials, lovely finish, good drawer Cons: Missing a few parts, Not drilled exactly right, Delivery trauma
Bookcase is nice, labor to install is not
B from Allison Park, PA – Verified Buyer
This is a very nice looking bookcase. However, it requires a lot of assembly - more than described in the information for the item. In fact, when I called in about this product I was told all I had to do was attach the hardware. That is not the case! You build this sucker from the ground up. The instructions make ones from Ikea look incredibly thorough. I'm not sure the quality is worth the price. The back is not wood. I'll have to see after use how it looks. Oh, and the glass is clear, which is not evident from the photograph provided.
Looks great but....
Lori Nelson from Bloomington, IN
This bookcase definitely is what I wanted as far as appearance and function but.....putting it together without damaging the wood was a challenge.
Sturdy bookcase; good value
Longnook girl from Cape Cod, MA – Verified Buyer
Heavy weight, attractive bookcase, fairly easy to assemble. Holds a lot of books and the bottom drawer is a bonus. One regret is not paying for inside delivery as this has some heft and comes in large boxes and was left at the beginning of our private road, not our driveway. Required the help of a neighbor with a pick up truck to get it to our house.

We waited a month to receive this item, the delivery date in tracking kept getting pushed back which was very frustrating. When it arrived the frustration didn't end, if you think Ikea's assembly directions are bad, wait til you see these. They were essentially 1) get supplies together 2) assemble bookshelf 3) use item, with very little instruction on what to do with the array of pieces in front of you. After the 2+ hours of assembly we realized the wood was damaged, it looks like it was punctured somehow. Also the doors hang unevenly, everything is already pre-drilled so it was not assembler-error and no amount of tightening/loosening the doors made them even. After waiting a month and hours of frustrating assembly we weren't about to send it back, but overall I'm disappointed. Pros: Serves it's purpose. Cons: Arrived damaged. Difficult assembly. Uneven doors.
Nice piece of furniture

We used this bookcase to display sports memorabilia. Really quality piece of furniture and was not to hard to put together.
Bookcase was defective
Todd from Rumson, NJ – Verified Buyer
The bookcase was not square, therefore the doors don't line up correctly with one another. Not a defective in one particular piece, but rather in the overall build quality.
