Recent inspirations include mixing cross-cultural orientations, while simultaneously fusing new technology and natural materials in intriguing compositions. We live in a world where storage space is constantly shrinking. The Little Black Dress jewelry organizer from Umbra is a super-thin, double-sided storage solution for jewelry, cosmetics, hair and fashion accessories, and all of life's curiosities. 39 Clear pockets on one side hold earrings, rings, watches, pins, make-up and other small items. On the reverse, 24 tabs with hook-and-loop closures accommodate long necklaces (no more tangles!), chunky bracelets, and other bulky items like headbands, belts, and scarves that most pocket organizers don't fit. The metal hanger can hang on a closet pole, wall or back of a door and the swiveling head provides easy access to both sides. With a simple flip, contents are visible at a glance. This is one LBD that always fits and never goes out of style!

The U+ Studio Collection, which offers a range of sophisticated aesthetics from raw to sleek, can be found exclusively at contemporary design retail specialists.
Umbra began in 1979, when boyhood friends, Paul Rowan and Les Mandelbaum joined forces to create exciting, everyday products that alter the overall aesthetic of a home, beginning with a printed window shade unlike anything then in the market ("umbra" means shade in latin).
Twenty-five years later, Umbra's award-winning design team - 22 men and women from all over the world and notable outside product designers, all under Paul Rowan's direction - remains the heart and soul of the company. Its offices worldwide now house more than 450 people.
