Minimal assembly required, but it is fairly easy for one person (except living the top piece which requires some help). Everything works well and no damage in delivery. Good price too. Like many of the other who have commented the only real headache was the time it took to peel all the protective plastic covering off the "entire" chest and each and every on of the drawers. A bit of a pain, but the plastic keeps the stainless steel free of scratches. The locks don't function too well, but then I doubt I'll be locking the tool chest unless I plan to move it someday.
