Great student desk!

We ordered this in chocolate for our 8th grader and so far are very pleased with it. It is compact so as not to take up too much space and looks modern, but fits him nicely even though he's 5'7" or 5'8". I paid extra to have an assembly person come put it together and it was the best money I've spent. A part was missing and he took care of ordering the correct part, which promptly arrived a few days later. I called to have him return to finish the assembly and he came back that same day, with no extra charge to me. Very pleased with this desk and the assembly service. The desk did have a few small scratches on it but I assume more will appear with use by my son, so not a big deal considering the low price. It would be nice if instead of the keyboard pull out, the desk had an option for a narrow drawer there for pencils.
great value for nice modern desk.

since shipping estimate was wrong, for the better, received the desk, 2 days earlier than expected, was able to build and review even sooner. assembly took a bit of time, but was pretty easy and straightforward to put together. i chose to leave off the right side panel attaching the tabletop and leg, which seems to work just fine. im sure it provides a bit more support, but everything still feels very secure without it. my one gripe before ordering was not really liking that curved piece, so im happy it doesnt seem to be needed. woul'dve liked pre-drilled holes in the drawers for wires, or options to create just shelves, instead of drawers altogether, but didn't really have that expectation when ordering anyway. for the styling, storage, keyboard tray, decent build quality, hard to beat for the price. Pros: easy to build, modern, keyboard tray, relatively easy to move even when fully assembled Cons: no shelf-vs-drawer option, keyboard tray is just a bit tight (width wise)
Good for the Price

Easy to Put together, once together well made and sturdy, Looks just like the online picture once put together. Getting 4 starts for 3 things. the corner came dinged up. it didn't bother me really, because it was the the corner that no one will ever see, but it was dinged up, the packaging could have been better, I though the amount of Styrofoam want very limited. The keyboard tray needs more room from the bottom of the desk to keyboard tray. With larger ergo keyboards my hands hit the bottom of the desk while typing sometimes. No locks on the keyboard try once fully extended. I wish the Keyboard try locked out, overtime using it, it likes to creep back under the desk. Otherwise Solid product.

This desk came with numerous great surprises compared to other desks that I had purchased previously. Firstly, the quality of the actual wood is superb. Secondly, much of the hardware, like the connectors, were pre-installed, to make it that much easier to put together. The Assembly Instructions were also very easy to navigate through, compared to the frustration I endured assembling other such desks. It also came along with a screwdriver, and extra hardware in case some got lost during assembly. Bottom line: the desk looks great, quality is good, size was perfect for what I needed, and to top it off it was easy to assemble. It has my highest recommendations.
Not worth the effort

Purchased this desk for my college son. It arrived in 2 boxes...and over 100+ parts/pieces! My husband and 2 sons (20 & 25) started assembling the desk. However, from the get go this was going to be a frustrating experience. The instructions are not very clear and it was difficult to determine what pieces went were. Midway during the process we called the help line for assistance and were told we were not using the right screw driver. However, we were using the screw driver which came with the desk and others we had on hand. Screw driver was not the problem: unclear instructions and several of the holes did not align which makes for an unstable desk. After 3 hours, they packed all 100+ parts & pieces back into the box and we sent it back to Wayfair.

This is a very sharp looking desk. The parts are pretty heavy weight and not cheap compressed wood. It took over an hour to put together but was well worth it. I'd absolutely buy it again.
Computer Desk with Side Cabinet

I am very satisfied with the product. Assembly was easy if one follows the directions step by step, although it could be a little time consuming because of the quantity of the pieces. But everything came together perfectly. Once the product is assembled looks good and perfect for a small home office. The desk is made of pressed cardboard covered with wood-like veneers, and I would like it to be made from wood materials or plywood, but the site clearly states the material used so the buyer knows what exactly he is getting, so no complain about the quality of the material, especially when the desk looks nice and very functional. Overall, I am satisfied with Wayfair's service, because they do deliver what they promise.
Nice product, and solid desk overall

I have lots of experience with prefab furniture and am generally disappointed with the quality. This desk however, seems to be a step above most of the prefab stuff out there. It has real metal threaded inserts for the screws that hold up the keyboard drawer etc, and once put together it has a nice solid feel. It would be really handy if they would have made it so the drawers could go on either side. My one piece of advice is to make sure you press in any extra laminate with a screwdriver before sliding in the back panel...that way nothing will bulge out when it's all done.

I needed something to replace a desk in the family room that really was too big for the space. The dimensions of this desk work well for us but it might be a little small for some uses. The desk is flat pack but my husband and I are from Europe and have been used to building flat pack furniture for most of our married life (33 years). Everything was well protected in the boxes and all the screws, nuts and toggles where sorted and in numbered packages which was excellent organization. The instructions were good but not perfect. Some diagrams are not clear as to which way a piece should be set. Be warned this desk has to be assembled totally from scratch, including the runners on the side panels and on the sides of the drawers. It took us over 3 hours. Some holes were slightly clogged with the sprayed on finish. The drawers are shallow, any item taller than 3.5 inches and the drawer will not close but I was able to adapt my organization of stationary items. The faux finish is okay for the price. The design is well thought out and I like the rounded edges on the keyboard shelf and desk top which are more comfortable on the wrists (there is a trend in desks to have square edges). All in all excellent value.
Decent desk, but NOT easy to Assemble
Leah from Camp Hill, PA – Verified Buyer
Ok, so the desk looks nice and we are happy with it now that it's together, but I am flummoxed that more people weren't talking about how difficult it was to assemble. After several laughable attempts on our own we ended up bribing some delivery guys who brought our guest bed to do it. They, who assemble furniture everyday, had trouble getting it together. We ended up paying them as much as the desk cost out of pure gratefulness that it was no longer sitting in pieces after weeks of delivery. My husband and I aren't the handiest of people, but we are usually capable of putting together this kind of furniture. Just wanted to warn others like us that this is not a beginner/intermediate project. You can pay for assembly through wayfair, but it does tack about 70% of the desk price on. Just beware that the great deal might not be so great if you can't do it yourself. Stylish, Well Made Difficult to Assemble
