FANTASTIC Art Desk!!!
J from TX – Verified Buyer
This desk is amazing! The assembly instructions were great. There are a lot of parts, but the directions are methodical and very clear. I've got to commend the designers of this desk- it is perfect. This desk is the perfect combination of being completely sturdy, functional, aesthetically-pleasing, easy to use (adjusting the angle of the desk is very easy and intuitive), and easy to clean. I was especially impressed with the drawers. The black plastic drawers are actually screwed into the metal frame, so you won't have to worry about them sliding out, bending, or breaking since they are well supported and attached directly to the metal surround. I would absolutely recommend this desk. It is a perfect work, art, hobby, and craft station. Pros: Clear assembly instructions, very sturdy, great functionality, well-designed, and easy to use Cons: None!
Great desk and great price

Wayfair and Studio Designs really came through with this desk. The quality of the desk is outstanding. The 3 drawers on the side leave a bit to be desired because it's just like the plastic organizers that you get a cheaper stores. But they are definitely usable and will last awhile. I love the design of the desk and someone mentioned on another site that you can add LED lights underneath the glass on the sides to create a tracing box. Great idea! Instead, we have a floor lamp that has multiple lamps (3) so two have been placed under the desk, facing up and 1 is over the desk to provide light. Perfect solution for us. This is being used by an artist who primarily draws with pencils. Painting would be a problem with this table if you needed water to wash the brushes because the cup holders on the side raise up with the table. Instead, have a side table (like we do) to place the brushes in so that the water won't spill. This is my daughter's Christmas gift. Wayfair delivered it within a couple of days. Love this shopping site and it's quick shipping and the customer service on the phone is always top notch!
Let your imagination flow.......

I bought this table as a gift for my wife on her birthday. She is studying animation, and I wanted to get her a nice drafting table that was relatively inexpensive. This desk has a very appealing design and look to it. The instructions were a little challenging, there are 8 brackets you must attach to the sides of the table and the illustrations/instructions give you no clue as to what they are for or which way to attach. They are actually for attaching the side pencil bins to the table, so the brackets must face out and up, once you’re assembling it will make more sense. Other than that, the assembly was a bit time consuming but nothing to stringent. So for a nice drafting desk, this is perfect because we just put a clamp light shooting light up from below and voila, we had our inexpensive desk, that handled all the functions she needed. Pros: Light inexpensive desk that suits your drafting needs Cons: Assembly was a little bit tough at first but figured it out, and it needed a little reinforcement to make it a bit more sturdy.
Great table for artists and crafty people

Overall, a well made / sturdy product. Glass top is helpful for those people who need light box / tracing capability. Task lamps won't attach easily to the desk frame if you want to be able to adjust the angle a lot, but I have a lot of natural light in the studio. The assembly instructions could be a bit better (when installing center support beam, from the picture there is more than one way to install it, but be sure the tapped holes face down! I had to reverse this beam / uninstall-reattach in a later step in order to install the drawers, which made the whole desk a little less sturdy. Otherwise, though, the product came together pretty easily (1-2hrs). Lot's of places for markers, pens, and brushes. Good product that is pretty compact.
Tricky to assemble
Scott the cartoonist from Sparks, NV
Bought this table 2 years ago, but knew I'd be moving, and didn't want to have to dismantle it once I got it together...and so it's remained in box until I finally got around to assembling it today. At time of purchase, I was told by store employee, that it was difficult to put together....and it WAS a chore. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. It CAN be done, but it took me several hours off & on. The last 2 pages of the directions...THAT's when things got a bit confusing. Diagrams are not quite accurate, and you're just going to have to do some trial & error test fitting before tightening those final nuts 'n bolts........ESPECIALLY when it comes to mounting the sliding racks that hold the main pencil drawer. I had to refer to other reviews for hints on assembly, and I suggest you do this also. You'll reach that last step and think you're 2 nuts short...You're not. The slide for the left side of the drawer requires 2 bolts & 2 nuts. the slide for the right...only requires 2 bolts. Use the tiny enclosed tools....and play around with the possibilities. You'll figure it out. The plastic drawers on the left side can be a bit tricky too, but they snap together...Just be patient. I'm EXTREMELY happy with the end result, but it really was more challenging than the bicycle I had to ( only partially ) assemble about a decade ago.
Great for drawing

This is great for odd art projects. The only thing I dislike is the drawers are very small and I sometimes knock them with my legs. Also, I wish there was somewhere to keep a jug of water since I do watercolor with the desk raised. The glass surface is great - easy to tape paper on it and easy to clean. The lift is at a good angle too. Sturdy and reliable table, but have additional storage for when you need a flat surface for supplies if you work with the top raised.
Bought for my wife an Art Major

I bought this desk for my wife who is an art major. She is taking numerous art classes in college and she absolutely loved this desk as a Christmas gift. I have never seen her so happy or given her such a great Christmas. The desk takes at least 2 hours to assemble even though the directions are very straight forward and easy to follow. Use that thinker of yours to make this the best gift you give to your significant other just like I did. This desk will make your significant other really know you believe in them so I suggest you buy it now.

Arrived promptly, easy to put together even for my husband who is put together challenged. But he was thrilled to take all the credit. We easily changed the drawers from left to right, which suits me better. It is sturdy, easy to move around to catch the light. The pencil drawer in the middle is perfect to hold and under cabinit barlight to accomadate backlight for tracing. A claplight with magnifying glass clamps easily on the back of the glass top and can be moved around. It is perfect for an artist, drawing, tracing or painting.

I have had this desk for awhile now and it was a good investment. I didn't have a huge budget for an artist's table so I chose this one for its price and glass table top. It's easy to clean and I have had no problems with it. The only down side is the table is not adjustable. Pros: Good value, sturdy Cons: Table height is not adjustable

My daughter is using this while away in Art College and says it's great and really cool. My husband assembled it for her, and only concern is how easy it will be to take apart at the end of her Spring semester. Otherwise, its working out great for her.
