Shoal Creek Desk

I ordered this for my Grandson (8) and after it came I realized it was almost identical in looks to one his sister got about 6 months ago. the difference is we did not have to add any reinforcements to the Shoal Creek model to feel safe about it. The instructions are clear and anyone that has a lick of ability putting a Lego set together can do this, simple-simple...screw driver and rubber mallet and all went well in about 30 minutes; mainly due to the fact that the material is heavy and I put it together on the living room floor(carpet). Good desk for the money, would recommend to anyone for kids room or for smaller spaces as a computer desk.

I really like my new desk. Assembly was pretty much straightforward though the instructions could have been better explained and only half of the parts were marked andor shown on the inventory list. If you've put together this type of furniture before, you've already got an idea of how it all works. All the holes lined up very well, parts were all there. I only needed to adjust the drawer fronts a little and it all went smoothly.

I was somewhat disappointed because the large drawer does not fit right. Other than that it looks exactly like it did in the picture. It fits the space I wanted to put it exactly. It was difficult for my 80 year old husband to put it together. It took him about 8 hours to do it. It probably would take a younger person less time. Overall it was a good purchase.
nice size but beware

This is the perfect size for a space challenged bedroom. It's nice looking and good quality, but it was not easy to assemble. Comes in a flat box, so expect to use up your time and patience. All parts were there and lined up as they should.
Great little desk

We have used several of these desks in our office. They come in a flat box and you need a lot of patience to put them together, but they function well for light use in our space. Would recommend
A couple of hours

Assembly was a bit of a chore - lots of pieces and hardware but you should expect that with two drawers. You have to pay close attention to the instructions provided, it's easy to goof up. Final product is exactly what we wanted - great value for the price paid.
Great Desk with Only a Few Flaws

It took about two and a half hours to assemble this desk, but in the end it was worth it. Really love the finish and overall sturdiness.
Works for what we need

This is a nice piece for the price. It works for what we need, and blends with our dark cabinets in the same room. It is particle board, but I think it feels pretty sturdy. A little time consuming to put together per my husband.
Nice color; nice quality for the price

easy assembly; looks great as a small desk area in my living room. Like the handles - very sleek but not too modern.
Just as expected

I had someone put it together for me - took him 1.5 hours only. It's is a beautiful desk. Only flaw is the lip over the drawers is quite deep. Still, love it!
