Harbor View Craft Armoire from AZ on 11/12/2014 – Verified Buyer
I've not put the armoire to the test yet. I purchased it to be an organized, useful sewing center when needed in my multi-purpose studio-office. It arrived on time (always does with Wayfair) and in perfect condition. The pull out table is quite sturdy and holds my Bernina machine's weight easily. The cubbies are great, I will be adding peg board to the back and interior sides to hang scissors and other tools. The pullout shelves seem a bit light, but will work fine. I'm having a spool holder with pegs made for one of them and placing an easel back on it so the whole shelf can be brought down to table height if wanted. At first glance, I was dismayed with the shutter doors...then I realized they are backed with a solid piece so infiltrating dust won't be a problem after all. The reason for the 4, rather than 5 star is just personal preference. I would've liked it to be taller since it takes up the wall space anyway. Never enough storage! Love the fact that I can work and tuck it all away instead of cluttering the whole room. Over all, I'm pleased with this unit. Harbor View has not disappointed me yet. As an aside, I've placed a "Fairfax Tall Narrow 87.25" Bookcase on either side adding several Sterilite 3-drawer chests in them. The chests fit perfectly inside and appear like they came with the unit. Shelves are very handy for fabrics etc. and the drawers for all those other misc. items we collect.

Sewing room in a closet! from Toronto, ON on 06/06/2011 – Verified Buyer
I am very disorganized. I hate to spend time putting things away, especially if I know I'll need to take it out soon anyway. So when I got into sewing, my sewing stuff was all over the room. Now that I have this armoire, it's much easier. I work on the foldout table; when I finish, I just push everything onto the part that stays horizontal. My serger remains on the table, I can even leave fabric half-serged. Fold down the leaflet, push in the horizontal side (with all the stuff on it) and close the doors. And I can have guests over without them seeing any of the mess. I love the adjustable shelves, and lots of storage room. It needs a little strategy though: once the table is out, if you're sewing on one side, you would need to walk around the table to reach the other shelves. So, anything you want immediately within reach should be strategically placed. I've also done some customization. I glued some Velcro on the doors, and added a fabric loop that holds scissors, a pin cushion, and pockets for other random things, like chalk pencils and tweezers for the serger. So now I just open the armoire and start to serge, and have everything I need easily accessible. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure that anything that's put on the door below the tabletop level is small enough to fit when the door is closed. The table is large enough for comfortable sewing, but (especially since I don't want to move my serger) not large enough to do things like trace patters. For that I bought a foldable craft table. So now I can turn my whole room into a sewing room in minutes, and comfortably sew. And then in a few minutes I can fold and hide everything away, and I have the whole room for other things. I've had the armoire for about a month now, and I've used it heavily. I absolutely love it!

The perfect choice from Pleasanton, CA on 10/21/2014 – Verified Buyer
This cabinet is perfect for my needs, I wanted somewhere I could have a work area that wasn't my dining table but that I could put projects out of sight when needed and this fits the bill. I was easy to put together and the quality is really good. I use if for sewing projects, even holds my sewing machine on the lower shelf inside when I don't need it. Plenty of storage space for needles tread and even paperwork for when I have that to do as well. Would certainly recommend to those who are crafters or need an office space that can be discreetly disguised when necessary.

Great Sewing Cabinet from Denver, CO on 10/28/2012
This is a great solution for anyone with a multi-purpose space who needs to hide their sewing or craft at times. It is press-board, not solid wood, but higher quality than Ikea type furniture (on par with Bush furniture). Everything went together perfectly and if feels very sturdy. One tip on putting together... you will want to put the slide out shelf on the bottom on the lowest possible spot if you want to fit a sewing machine down there.

Functional sewing cabinet from colleyville, TX on 07/15/2015 – Verified Buyer
The cabinet was very functional for use in a limited space. It was fairly easy to assemble with very good instructions. Some parts, such as backing board were a little flimsy, but overall a nice looking and well constructed sewing cabinet. Pros: Good value. Great use of space. Cons: Filmy backboard
