I did a lot of research before deciding on this sandbox. I was considering boxes that had sunshades, but decided to monitor the sun cover in the backyard for shade at particular points in the day, rather than buying something poorly made strictly for the sunshade. `The cover and seats were what sold me on it. It is deeper than the average turtle sandbox, which makes it much better for my 2-year old that likes to dig. It looks like we'll get lots of wear out of the box, as the 8-year old next door is jealous. We filled it with the play sand from Home Depot, which has a bigger grain and is easy to brush off. The seats are sturdy enough for adults. The area where we set it up is not totally flat, but all seems to be working out. We haven't had it too long so I can't speak to durability, but it appears to be a well made product that will stand the test of time (I hate buying cheap stuff multiple times...I prefer to buy quality once). And it's one thing that he doesn't have at daycare that he has at home, which makes it special. The most time consuming part of setting it up was getting the bags of sand to the backyard. Check out the pics to get a realistic idea of size. Pros: Super quick to set up Cons: Bottom not solid

Originally researched sandboxes online and didn't like what I read in the reviews not even for the more expensive ones. So decided to look into building it myself, from wood. Once you factor everything in, it may come in around $200. Went back online and found the Sandlock, commercial grade rated sandboxes. Decided to go this route, for the easy of assembly, as well as the durability of plastic vs. wood. These boxes are dropped shipped from the manufacturer. The shipping box was slightly ripped, but all components were there. Box was easy to assemble and looks great kids love it.

My kids absolutely love the sandbox. It was so easy to assemble & I'm thrilled with how it looks in the yard. My only complaint would be the two inch or so 'lip' in the front. I'm not sure why it's necessary. Kids can obviously get in and out without that opening, so all it really does it provide a place for sand to sneak out all over the yard. Overall though, LOVE the sandbox and would buy it again!

This is a great sandbox. Easy to assemble with good quality construction and all the pieces that you need, including ground cover and box cover. The 5' by 5' is a perfect size for a couple toddlers. Looking forward to fun times with our grandson. Pros: Good materials and easy assembly a little expensive but not too for the quality. Cons: Shipping too costly given other items shipped for less of similar weight and size even if to Alaska.

i bought this to replace the wooden sandbox i bought the year before that did not fair very well after a year of the elements. i love that it snaps together and comes apart so easily and that it has a tarp like bottom rather than the plastic my wooden sandbox had. it was easy to move new my new home and all 3 of my little boys love it. the cover it great and keeps everything out. would definitely recommend

Spent a lot of time looking at different boxes, brands, and reviews. Would go with this again. Do not have anything to compare it to but quality is great! Even the cover is just fine. Read in some reviews that the cover is bad but I disagree. Purchased for sons third birthday and do not regret! We just finished building our new home with nice new landscaping and the box fits right in. Definitely recommend!
Super High Quality and Attractive!

In my opinion, this is the best sandbox out there! Looks great! SO easy to assemble (just make sure you follow the directions pertaining to the numbers on each piece. The side pieces look the same but they are not.)! So high quality! No maintenance required - no need to waterproof. Very sturdy.
so far so good

One benefit that I hadn't considered is the ease of putting it away for the winter. RAther than leaving it in the yard to weather, we'll be able to pack it away in the attic as each piece disassembles and is very light. Still sturdy enough when placed together to handle the sand (about 18 5# bags worth) and kids). Thought it would be the perfect size for two kids to not get in each other's way, and it should be. But human nature - the kids still play in the exact same spot with half the sandbox unused. Maybe a barrier in the next version?! The seats are a very nice bonus and the cover is very sturdy. I didn't realize the cover would be a bit loose - they recommend putting an exercise-sized ball in the middle of the box to prop up the cover. That way water drains off. Good idea but we don't have anything similar. If I'd known about that I would have suggested it as a kids birthday gift.

We have only had the sandbox for a short time, but it seems to be a well-constructed product. It was easy to assemble, and from the looks of it, the sand box should hold up well. It's the perfect size for several young children. Pros: Easy assembly
Awesome sand box

The plastic used to make this is commercial quality. The top has been durable thus far--we've had outside in the Northwest since Spring rains, through a warm summer, and now with the cooler weather and it seems to be holding up really well-I saw this a a frequent complaint in reviews, but so far, handles the Northwest really well. Pros: Commercial Quality Cons: none so far
