The safe is just what we were looking for. Although there were a few issues during delivery Wayfair was quick to respond and resolve them.

I am well pleased with the customized Model 56 safe I purchased this year. Did you know that Rhino will customize a safe for you? I didn't. During the order process, I called Rhino directly to explore options; they were prompt and very pleasant to deal with. I had a safe produced with a steel inner liner, an additional 3 inches of depth and a custom interior, all at reasonable prices. Now be prepared to wait for a custom safe, it took 3 months from the order to delivery, however it was well worth the wait. I looked at (physically inspected) many safes in and above my price range and firmly believe Rhino produces very solid product; such as a solid steel bar welded to the inside of the door frame, unlike the folded edge on the other safes. Call me crazy but I even went to the Patent office web site and read about their lock mechanism. Now keep in mind only Rhino branded safes are made in the USA, the Big Horn branded safes are made in China. Now was everything perfect, not quite. Call me old school because I wanted a mechanical dial well to my surprise when I un-boxed the safe it had the electronic lock. So I called Rhino, they were apologetic and within 2 day made arrangements with a local lock smith to replace the lock. The lock smith was a week out for service scheduling so I had a few days to 'play' with the electric lock. Well after a few days I had second thoughts and ended up liking the quick access and available guest code access setup. So I cancelled the lock smith service (via Rhino) after Rhino had everything set up with parts in-hand to the lock smith, so they hade time and money invested to correct the issue. Rhino's opinion was they would do what ever it took to satisfy the customer. I extend the lock warranty with lock smith service coverage for 10 years. It's a big steel box, get one from a manufacture that produces what you want and that actually cares about customer service!

I bought this safe to store a few guns as well as other valuables for safekeeping. This one was the perfect size for my office and it looks great. After researching gun safes, I felt it was my best option in this size range providing the security, fire protection and aesthetics I wanted.Rhino Metals and Bricklewood (Wayfair) were both great to work with and even accommodated some customizing, allowing me to change the color and to add 4" to the safe's depth to provide more usable storage space.It's a great quality safe made in the USA by Idaho craftsman and Wayfair had the best price I could find [...].
