They are what I expected... they still seem expensive for what they are. I would recommend putting sand in the post when assembling to add to weight / balance. Overall, good buy at a competitive price.

These speaker stands are perfect! I had a very hard time finding speaker stands with a bigger top, all the others were too small. I drilled a hole in top & bottom so I could run my wire through & put sand bags inside to make them more stable. Very well constructed, very nice!
Solid and stable

They are really good. Really solid and stable. The way the picture shows, I thought there was 4 but it is 2 stands.
Exactly what I needed
Ty from Spearfish, SD
This seeems to be the only speaker stand out there with a top plate wider than 6". I needed a large top plate for stability to keep pets from knocking the speakers off. After filling the center posts with dry concrete mix the stands are very stable and tip proof. The picture makes them look cheap but they actually have a nice look to them. If you've ever own speakers with a black veneer finish it is the same. They are very sturdy and use quality MDF material. They take some time to setup since gluing is involved for the plates, but nothing complicated is involved. Overall I'm very happy with the product. I'm surprised they are not more popular. I would have thought a big top plate would be more in demand for larger bookshelf speakers.
