|About Pro Mark
Pro Mark was founded in 1957 by Herb Brochstein, a drum teacher and drum shop owner who once sold a drum set to Elvis Presley. Pro Mark products are now exported to over 100 countries and can be found in virtually every music store in the world. Pro Mark uses only unendangered wood in the manufacturing of its sticks and mallets. The harvesting of oak from Japan is carefully controlled and replenishment of the forest is one of our top concerns. Each tree is between 60 and 120 years old before it is cut. By also using American hickory and maple, which grow faster than they are harvested, Pro Mark significantly reduces environmental destruction.
