Platt Slick Slim Case in Black

I bought this case, a first time purchase of an item like this, to store a battery operated electronic pyrometer and probe in order to protect it from the harsh environment of motorcyle racing pit use. The instructions made it easy to measure the interior foam for the required shape cut-out. The foam block system pieces came out easily and I had my pyrometer installed in its new home in five minutes.The case seems robust enough to be packed with heavy racing equipment or in a tool box and is of a shape that fits easily into tool box drawers. The only questionable part is the plastic latch mechanism which is molded as part of the lid. When folded down from its original injection molded position and into the locking position the latch 'elbow/ hinge point looks to be rather fragile and likely to start cracking over time at the 90 degree seam. I am going to reinforce mine from the inside with a small steel cabinet hinge. Otherwise it looks very servicable for the job.
