Office Star Leather Office Chair with Arms

Seat needs to be slanted to raise the front for longer legged people. All the body weight is on the persons posterior and not on the bottom of the legs.

I am using this chair in my home office. The thing I like most about it is that it has real leather on the seat, inside seat back and arm panels vs. bonded leather for similarly priced chairs. Also it has wood with a cherry finish for the arm loops and petestal base. However, it is not as confortable as I had hoped. The seat padding is a little thin and the back should be contoured more so that the top of the back is padded out to support the head. Another complaint is with the assembly. The instructions were great, however aligning the arm support holes with those on the seat and back required a great deal of physical effort from two people. Also the threading on the bolts used for attaching the arms seem to be of inferior grade making them difficult to align and secure without stripping the bolts.

This is a mid-quality-level chair; a good value at the Wayfair price, but I would not have been happy with it at the full retail price. There are not many ergonomic adjustments available on this chair; the lumbar support is fairly pronounced so you better like a chair with good lumbar support. Assembly went smoothly, although there was more assembly required than I had anticipated. All the parts were present, and the necessary tools provided. The star base appears to be made of iron, covered by wood. Overall, the chair seems to be fairly sturdy.
