this office stool is the best thing that' s happened for my back - at first you have to use it for short periods until your back gets stronger but then it is so comfortable and good for posture. Like riding horseback. The only thing it needs is a softer seat. I am going to add a layer of foam to mine. I had shoulder and neck tightness from sitting in a regular chair at the computer. Now I sit straight, my back feels stronger and my posture is improved overall. I used to have trouble standing for a long period or sitting in bleachers. This stool has helped my back so that I can do those things easily now. I think that when we sit for long periods with a back rest our muscles get weaker.. this stool has been a very good investment for me.

I absolutely love this chair! I have to sit 10+ hours a day for my job, and was getting lethargic in a conventional office chair. Sitting in this chair gives me more energy and makes me more productive. The adjustable height is so versatile, you can use it to simply rest on while in an almost standing position, or as a regular chair with it lowered all the way down. I bought two of these, one for the office, the other I use for around the house, they're great for for doing projects, cooking, etc. I am so pleased with this purchase, highly recommended!
Good, inexpensive saddle stool
Lab rat from Walla Walla, WA – Verified Buyer
I ordered the stool after looking at much more expensive saddle-seat stools. I didn't really want a rolling stool, but for the price I'm not complaining. It was easy to assemble, almost surprisingly so. My only actual complaint is the foot ring. If you're planning on using this stool at a high counter (I unfortunately am), you may find that the foot ring doesn't really hold position if you put much weight on it. It's not a huge issue for me, but for someone with shorter legs it certainly could be. I haven't used it for very long yet but it seems to be very comfortable. With other stools, I've had a real tendency to slouch. This stool seems to gently encourage better posture just because of the angle of your hips.
What a back saver!

I am a long arm quilter but have terrible back and hip pain after doing one quilt due to two back surgeries. After seeing a "saddle stool" at a quilt show I started looking at them. This one was a great deal and had decent reviews, so I decided to try it. It has helped me quilt much longer with little discomfort. A winner for sure! Pros: Easy to assemble and use. Cons: Could use more padding on seat.
exactly as hoped

I bought this to use with a standing height desk for my computer work (video editing). The seat and foot rest both adjust easily to a good height, and it was easy to assemble. All parts appear to be well-made and durable especially considering the price, and it looks nice and functional enough. There was a minor frustration during assembly: the included allen wrench was too long to fit easily on one of the 4 screws that attach the seat. The height adjustment lever was in the way, making tightening with the wrench tedious compared to the other 3 screws, which were easy to tighten. A wrench with a short side would be much easier to use. Otherwise, I am truly delighted with this seat, which I am sitting on as I type. My back feels great. I suggest the manufacturer offer a choice of fun colors in addition to the straightforward black. Thanks.
Exactly what I was looking for.

I'm 6'4" and as you may imagine my posture is almost impossible to keep while at a desk. I am an engineering student and therefore spend a lot of time at a desk. Everything seems to be built for people shorter than me so as a result, in conventional manager's chairs my knees are bent more than 90 degrees and that is transfered through the rest of my body, hips to spine to neck, as poor posture. This chair allows me to sit/stand and strengthen my core while studying and it has an adjustable height range that is even more than I need!! On top of that, the chair top tilts to maximize comfort.I highly recommend this chair.[...]
The answer to my low back problems
Kathleen from Mississippi
I first got this stool mostly on a whim. I love horseback riding, and it appealed to me to sort of work in the saddle. But before buying I did a little research on this kind of stool, and the benefits for lower back problems are amazing. It alleviates the pressure on my legs and has helped strengthen my lower back and core. There is no slumping on this thing. It takes a little bit of build up time (you won't be sitting in it for a full 8 hour day right out of the box), but well worth it.
Awesome product and service

The seat was so comfortable that I am planning to buy it in future too. The stuff is so relaxing and also the variation in the angle which it offers is great. Also how can someone forget about wayfair, best service delivered everytime.
Will do what I wanted

I'm still getting used to the saddle seat, as sitting in it is quite different. But I think it is going to improve my posture while working at my computer. The package was missing a part -- the main center post -- when it arrived the manufacturer's return process was a little cumbersome, but it worked, and they shipped the replacement part in good time.

This stool places me, immediately, into a correct up right sitting position. I no longer round my back or slouch. As my body has learned to reposition itself I find that if I slouch in other areas of my life my back muscles fatigue sooner and remind me to correct my posture.
