This piece is very nice if the buyer has a space constraint. The wood finish is great and works well with different finishes on other furniture products. Assembly time was less than 1 hour for one person. There has been some concern in other reviews about the product tipping if the top drawer is opened while the bottom drawer is shut. This is true, but a wall attachment accompanies the item if the purchaser wishes to attach it to a wall. And as always, common sense should be used. Either place heavier files in the bottom drawer or open the bottom drawer slightly when accessing the top drawer in order to stabilize the cabinet. An extremely nice looking product, which has more of a furniture appeal than some of the "boring" office file cabinets. Highly recommended.
Exactly as advertised

The quality of this file cabinet was as expected - solid wood and accurate picture. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition. The instructions were adequate and it went together easily. I changed out the drawer knobs, but only to match the desk next to which it sits.
Good Value for the Money

Esthetically, the cabinet is pleasing to me. The color matched the picture fairly accurately, though I might have labeled it as coffee rather than antique cherry. Just a note - the picture I took does look more like antique cherry, but honestly the color is lighter. The carcass looks to be made of parawood and at 68 pounds (mfg. stated weight) is pretty substantial. The cabinet was easy to put together. The inserts were already in place and the holes lined up perfectly. Once assembled the cabinet became fairly rigid, with very little sway. Beside a dining room table where I only had to attach the four legs, this has been the easiest piece of RTA furniture to assemble. I didn't even bother reading the instructions, and in about 45 minutes I had the cabinet assembled and the packaging cleaned up. There was one weakness that I observed. When assembling the drawers, I think there were 3 screws that did not get adequate purchase in the wood. This may have been caused by too large a pilot hole. To be on the safe side I disassembled the drawers and applied a bead of wood glue to the mating surfaces and then inserted a piece of toohpick into each hole to have material for the screw to engage. Once assembled the drawers slid easily unto the tracks and operate smoothly. I have a home based business and file my client's documents in the cabinet, and have a small laser printer sitting on top. It's just me using the cabinet and I don't open the drawers continuously so the cabinet will probably last me for quite some time. Would I recommend this piece of furniture? Yes. For someone looking for a moderate priced file cabinet to store their personal records or a small business looking for a compact file cabinet (it does hold both letter and legal file folders) this cabinet could be a fit.
nice file cabinet

This is a nice solid file cabinet. Wish they made it in more shades. Assembling was fine. I ran into some trouble with one of the drawers because the bottom piece was a little warped but with persistence and making small adjustments(loosening, then retightening screws) it all fell into place. I'm very happy with it.

I can't get over how beautiful this filing cabinet is! Incredible! And for the price, don't even think about it - just buy it! The only cons is that drawers could have been 2 or 3 inches deeper & perhaps a centimeter wider, back files are somewhat hard to get to, & if you plan on opening both drawers at the same time then you'd better secure it because it will tip over but won't with one drawer open. Given its stunning look & price though, cons are quite trivial.
Great looking and sturdy!

This is a very heavy duty file cabinet. It requires assembly and while I've assembled many furniture items over the years, this one took a while. Material quality is very good and the finish makes it look a lot more expensive. If you aren't afraid of a little bit of assembly, this is well worth the money!
Color is ORANGE!

This file cabinet does not have a Cherry finish. Cherry implies a red undertone. This finish is orange. I can't believe reviewers are not pointing out this obvious misrepresentation. Looks more Maple than Cherry. Photo image is very misleading.

I purchased this file cabinet for my office. The man who put it together for he had a really hard time time getting all the parts to fit. One it was I ally put together, it looked great and worked perfectly.
Nice heavy piece. Had to fix a break.
Judith from Belchertown, MA– Verified Buyer
This is a solid wood piece, not MDF with veneers and the color in the picture is true to the actual item. It is a very heavy, sturdy piece. The only problem we had was when we went to stand it up after assembly, one leg broke. We were able to fix it and look forward to using it.
Quality and looks great!

The pieces are made of nice wood, the stain was even, and put together it is a good looking, solid piece of furniture. The directions were easy and it went together very well. One of the wheel tracks came broken, but the customer service quickly sent out a replacement part. The service was friendly and resolved the problem courteously. I would recommend this cabinet to anyone who needs a filing cabinet, but doesn't want the traditional look of office furniture. This one looks just like an end table in our living room. Everyone is surprised to find out it is a filing cabinet!
