I purchased this towel rack because the apartment I am renting overseas has no towel bars. I had to bring it with my luggage, so its light weight and relatively small packaging met the first requirement. It looked simple with straight lines in the picture, but is was so inexpensive I was skeptical. To my very critical surprise, this cheap lightweight hollow chrome towel rack is almost as simply elegant as it's $1000 solid brass chrome plated alternatives, which I would probably buy for my Manhattan apt. The lightweight rack holds 3-6 towels depending on size and folding. The bottom rack keeps longer towels from touching the floor and has become useful for bathroom reading material.

This is doing the job for which I bought it. I have larger towels, more like bath sheets so I would love it if the bars at the top were higher because my towels pool on the bottom shelf. However, it is study so far.
looks as pictured

We are using this in a bathroom because we have pocket doors and can't mount a towel rack. It was easy to put together if you move it around alot the legs start to loosen but if it's stationary it works great.

a bit flimsy but looks good in bathroom and lots of towel space

Assembly was OK, but not as easy as I would have liked. I am all thumbs BTW.
A little rickety

It doesn't seem super sturdy, but I don't it anything heavy on it so it's ok.
luxury look-budget price

this towel rack looks like it cost three times what it did-looked for a similar style at the designer stores and cost was between $200-300.00 This is a great rack-easy to build-and after using for one year-still looks new.

Very easy to assemble, however, is very flimsy. And it's got plastic parts. I wouldn't have paid full price for this but since I paid next to nothing for this I kept it for the guest bathroom....and hope that my guests aren't rough using it.
Easy to Assemble!

Metro Towel Rack is exactly as depicted and easy to assemble. I only wish it were a little more substantial. Also, the shelf shortens the hanging distance for drying towels. My bath towels drag onto the shelf at the bottom. It will work though!
just what we were looking for

Our wall towel rack was coming off the wall so we decided we should replace it with a floor model. We thought we could find this item in any dept. or bath store...but no. This item matches the rest of the decor and fits perfectly in the space alloted. Assembly was a breezes...no tools required.
