Good 'nuff

Hey, it's a chair. I program, so 12~16 hour days in front of the computer happen. For the price, it's pretty good. And since I work at home, the vinyl is nice, so I don't have to get 'dressed up' just to keep fabric or aeron mesh from chewing into my legs. Plus, easy cleanup when I spill stuff on it.

The Ultimate Chair

I have to say, this is my 3rd purchase from Wayfair. I am pleased with all orders. Regarding this OFM 24HR. Chair, it is amazing! It is everything described. All my parts were present in shipping, the box was undamaged (this was not the case with some other customers here. The lack of better instructions left me 4 Stars. I had to read some instructions twice for accurate assembly. However, with that said the chair was a breeze to assemble and the many custom adjustment are a dream. I sit at my home office at least 4--5-6 hours working on various projects and this seat give me long comfort throughout my work load. My legs no longer tingle, or my rear no longer falls asleep. The well padded seat is "hard/very firm" at first but you get used to it over time. If in doubt-try it. I don't think you'd be sorry.

I am happy with it

Honestly it took to shipments for me to get pieces that we not damaged and I didn't feel like going for a third one when both had scuffed seat and back cushion. (this was a shipping problem) I was home and didn't know they delivered or I would have refused shipment both times. Wayfair has done EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to it right with me and I appreciate that. The chair went together fairly easily (the casters were a little hard but not to big a problem) The directions we standard and easy to follow. The chair is comfortable I would have preferred it to have a slightly larger cushion but it is nice. My kids like to sit on my lap when I am at the computer and with the weight this char is meant to handle it is no problem to have them sit with me and as the arms go out some there is to accommodate the slightly more space needed as well. I think the gray fabric is nice too.

Great heavy duty chair!

My husband is not a small man. He stands about 6' 7" at 300lbs. Since he uses the chair for our home office, he's in it roughly 4-6 hours a day. This chair is sturdy and then some! The minute he sat in it, he was not only comfortable, the chair didn't even squeak! The back support is great and it definitely is high enough for his long legs, but can be adjusted for me to sit too (I'm 5' 7"). Easy to assemble, it was well worth the money for us!

Very sturdy - just what I wanted.

Very easy assembly. This chair feels very secure and stable with a big person like me (6'2", 250 lbs). I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Mixed bag

I purchased this chair after the failure of another OfficeMax/Staples/etc offering. The $100-$200 chairs they sell are fine for normal sized people with low to moderate use. However, they just don't cut it for a big or tall guy sitting in front of a computer for 8-10 hours a day. The chair was vary easy to assemble, despite the terrible instructions, or lack there of. Four bolts to attach the seat mechanism, four bolts for each arm rest. I was short one washer for the arm rests, just attached that bolt without it. A couple notes: make sure the toggles that adjust moving the arm rests in/out are tight enough to actually lock the arm rest position. I attached one arm rest, and then had to take it off again to tighten the nylon lock nut on the other side. Also, the swivel connection on the lever used to move the seat forward/back is connected with the screw heads on the outside and the longish post/nuts on the inside. This makes the seat catch on part of the mechanism, allowing you to only use the rear 2-3 adjustment slots. If you reverse the screws so the heads are on the inside, there's barely enough clearance for full adjustment. This chair has a lot of adjustment options, which is was a big factor in choosing it. However, there were not instructions included with the chair and the online video available at the OFM website does not describe all of the adjustments. For about a week I couldn't figure out what the front in/out locking pin did, and it didn't seem like the chair allowed you to tilt freely. I thought you had to lock the seat tilt and back tilt to the desired position, and the chair was stuck there. I could not get comfortable. I eventually figured out that when pushed in, the locking pin keeps the seat from tilting forward. In order to tilt freely you need to have the back locked to the desired position, unlock the seat tilt lever, lean back and push in the front locking pin. If you leave the seat tilt unlocked and adjust the tension knob underneath, you can now tilt freely. This all could have been avoided had OFM included a decent manual on how to control the SIX levers/knobs underneath. The seat and back padding feels a bit stiff and is a little uncomfortable. It really seems like this chair should be more comfortable than it is; maybe my body just needs to adjust to it. The arm rests on this thing are beefy, which is the main positive for this chair. The thing is simply built like a tank and feels very solid and stable. Maybe in six months after break in and adjustment I will love this chair, but right now it's a mixed bag. I guess it will have to do, since you have to pay $600-$1000 to get a real ergonomic office chair from one of the big boys, which seems criminal to me. Are these things made out of spun gold or something, because they pay some Chinese person three cents a day to make them?

HIgh quality, heavy duty, durable chair!

No complaints on style and comfort. Very durable and price wasn't bad for what you get. They shorted me 4 bolts that hold the arm-rests to the base of the chair but a quick trip to a home improvement store and [$] later I was fully assembled. Thanks WayfairCHAIRS!
