Great Bed frame for memory foam mattress
A_K from Keller, TX– Verified Buyer
My husband and I bought this bed frame for our master bedroom about 5 weeks ago and have been using it for approximately 3 weeks (took about 2 weeks from the day we ordered to the day we received it). Once it arrived we had to get it off the truck but it was in several boxes so they were easy to handle. We purchased the king in espresso finish and it looks very nice. It works great with our memory foam mattress. The bed seems very sturdy so far and doesn't creak or make any noises at all. It was fairly easy to put together with 2 people (just had to adjust the screws for the outside supports to make it the correct width for the slats to line up with the appropriate holes on each side). It works well and is just the right height with our 14 mattress (sits at approximately 24 inches high with the mattress). The only thing I didn't appreciate was the delivery truck service was a little rude on the phone when I called to get status updates on shipment. I'm still giving this a 55 because overall we are very happy with this product!
Great quality for the money

This bed is real, solid wood and very sturdy. It's a dark espresso color that almost looks black unless it's in direct sunlight. I've had this bed for over a year now and it still feels as solid as the day I put it together. The slats in the center are perfect for use with a foam mattress. Very happy with my purchase and will buy another when I need one for a second bedroom.

These need to be assembled but it was not difficult if you have enough space to move the pieces around without bumping into other things. They are really beautiful - finish (espresso) and solid wood, high quality. Very sturdy even for large adult. Value was excellent and price quite affordable because buying all the parts for new beds can add up with linens, mattresses and beds. Also - we looked for months to find twin beds that would look nice in a guest bedroom for adults - most twin bed frames are for kids and poorly constructed and have no sophistication in design. Also even very expensive bed frames (thousand or higher) often are not in twin sizes so shopping was frustrating. These were PERFECT!
Great quality for the price

The price was right on this bed frame. At the same time we were a little concerned that the quality wouldn't be that great. We were pleasantly surprised. It was easily put together by one person. Once we had the frame in place with the mattress on it it was extremely stable and solid. It makes zero noise when you jump on or move while on the mattress. To be perfectly frank, my wife and I tend to give our beds a pretty good work out and this bed frame is not phased in the least bit.
A good quality product

I purchased a great mattress on sale that I wanted to pair with a decent bed. However, I move frequently and wanted a bed that had a bit of portability (something that would be easy to put-up and break down) and also decent quality. This is an outstanding bed for what I wanted. Set-up time for me was about an hour from unpacking to putting the mattress on it. Simply laid-out the parts on the floor, connect the corners posts with screws and put the slats on. Given that I'd be breaking the bed down in about 8 months I didn't use screws for all the slats, only those slats on the end were screwed in. The webbing that connected the slats equally space them out and the weight of the mattress would hold them in place; thus, no need to screw them all in. I attached the support piece that runs down the middle of the bed only at the end slats. Again the weight of the mattress holds it in place. About 16 to 18 screws total holds everything together. The bed doesn't rock or creak and looks great. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend this bed to people who would want a quality bed for less than $150.
Very nice for the price!

Just a couple of tips for future buyers. Most importantly, do not tighten any of the screws during preliminary set up. The frame does only come with enough screws for every other slat so I purchased another dozen and I did not tighten the slat screws until AFTER aligning the corners nice and even and tightening. I think that if you tighten the slat screws as you put each one in that it may seem like the holes will not all line up and it may disallow the corners to have an even appearance. So just put them in about a third before tightening them at the very end. My queen set also came with 4 support legs (unlike description)and I thought that was great. It appears to be very sturdy and I had an easy time putting it together (and I'm a girl!)I do recommend an electric screw driver for the slat screws to save your wrists.
Easy to assemble

When the bed arrived in multiple, large boxes, putting it together seemed like a daunting task. But in the end, it took about 1 hour to do. The bed seems sturdy, though we've only had it about 1 week. It looks exactly as pictured.
Just want I was looking for.

The cordovan color matched my Cherry bedroom furniture perfectly and its subtlety did not compete with the rest of the pieces I already owned--which is what I was going for. I love it. I plan to buy another one for a different bedroom in the future.
built to last and priced to sell

I'm a big guy, but the queen-size Modus Nevis Slat Bed that I've slept in for the last 8 years has been rock solid. Modus makes beds that last for prices nobody can match. When I needed to order a bed for the guest room, it was a no-brainer where to start looking. Ordered a full-size Modus Newport Simple Platform Bed, and while I haven't had it for 8 years like the other Modus bed, the materials were the same built-to-last quality. Honestly, I don't know how they make money selling beds for so cheap that you don't need to replace every few years.
Brought two, for guestroom "expansion from one bed to two.

Quite well made for the price. All parts were there, a few extra parts, just in case. Does take some time to put together. Couple problems with matching screw holes (especially the bed slats to the frame) but easy workaround. Seems strong enough for good size people. Have one with regular innerspring mattress and one with new foam, arrive in a box, type mattress. Both fit well, and a comfortable w/o box spring or box platform. Guest "tester" slept on both and reported he likes them!
