About the Designer
"I can't remember a time when design wasn't a major influence in my life. Nature is my greatest inspiration. I began sketching before learning math and reciting the alphabet. When I was about 8 years old, my mother designed halter dresses that we would bring to craft shows, and I was allowed the opportunity of designing handbags and jewelry to enhance the outfits. My first sale was very precious. Being compensated as a designer was and continues to be a delight. Whenever I experience something that our firm designed being worn or living in a client's home, the thrill never lessens. Modeling was never on my radar. I wanted to be the client! My fashion career exposed me to the globe and some of the most talented people in the world. Vera Wang was responsible for me working at Vogue; Scavullo photographed my Cosmopolitan cover, Herb Ritts, Bruce Weber, Avedon---all taught me so much. Fendi, Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein were all companies that I worked for. My greatest mentors in life and fashion include my Mother, Barbara, who has exquisite taste, my Father, John who taught me the economics of fashion and economic realities of retail. It can be ugly, when people aren't honest... Jule Campbell from Sports Illustrated and Elizabeth Taylor continue to be true blessings in my life. Elizabeth took me by the hand and demanded that I express myself in a bolder, more powerful way. 'Beige is not the inner you. People will take you seriously even when you're designing something wonderful, feminine and sexy. You can also wear it! I miss and treasure Elizabeth every day,' " explained Kathy Ireland about her passion for design that launched, kathy ireland® Worldwide. The cabinet was a little larger than I expected but beautiful just the same. It was sturdy and the best part was that it did not have to be assembled. I was informed by Wayfair that when the cabinet arrived at their warehouse, it was damaged and they sent it back. The second was delivered in excellent condition. Wayfair kept me constantly informed of shipment and delivery dates. I have since ordered a number of items from Wayfair.

Bought this along with the Kathy Ireland desk. Fits perfectly underneath and holds a lot. Great purchase!
Instructions would be helpful !

I was disappointed with the colour, as it was much darker than it appeared on the website, and the colour was the number one reason why I chose this particular filing cabinet. As a result, it does not blend in with my other furniture. There were no instructions included. Although it came fully assembled, it came with the drawers set up for letter size files. You needed to remove the drawer to switch to legal size, and it took three people 45 minutes to figure it out !! It could have been accomplised in 10 minutes with instructions. Other than that, I am happy with the quality and look of the cabinet. It is more solid than some I have seen.

Product came as advertised. It is of high quality, very satisfied!
laura from georgia
Beautiful wood and I love the color. The slide mechanism is a litle sensitive and although it does pull all the way out, you need to be careful or it falls off the track.

It seems like good quality. The color is good. It came already assembled so I did not have to put it together, so I really liked that!
Good product but the color is way off
Alison from Chicago, IL – Verified Buyer
I like this file cabinet, it is sturdy and well made, so much better than the cheap pressboard cabinets I have bought in the past. You truly do get what you pay for. The color is NOT at all like the one in the photo on the website, it is much darker, more like walnut or chocolate brown.
Martin Furniture MISSION OAK Pasadena Vertical File
Deborrah from Frisco, TX – Verified Buyer
The picture representing the file cabinet we purchased is true Mission Oak color of a medium tone, reddish oak. The cabinet we received is a darkbrown walnut type color. While it does not match the rest of our MISSION OAK office furniture, we are not willing to go thru all of the trouble and expense of sending it back. We still need the file cabinet, and therefore, will be keeping it although we are learning to be more and more careful about ordering items on line.

This item arrived as promised. Color is darker than shown but this worked well for me. Solid construction and opens and closes smoothly. No instructions for converting from letter to legal, but should be easily done with clips at back of drawers. The drawback is that you have to remove the drawers to convert. It does look like a piece of furniture. Everything else as described in product description. Would recommend.
great file cabinet

For many years we wrestled with a cheap-o (and unattractive) metal file cabinet in our study. I finally decided to splurge on this one, and am happy with the purchase. The construction is sturdy, nice furniture-quality finish, and the drawers feel solid and glide smoothly even when loaded with files. The color was a bit darker than what I expected from the photo.
