What should have taken no more than 10 to 15 minutes to "build," required a little over a half-hour to complete. The problems? Poorly drilled holes for the armrests as well as poorly manufactured screws. The base unit goes together easily... no problems there. When it came to the armrests, lining up the pre-drilled holes with the screws was a challenge, to say the least. For the upper portion of the armrests that had to be affixed to the back of the unit, in two cases, the fabric of the backrest partially covered the pre-drilled holes... unless you check the pre-drilled holes prior to screwing in the screws, you'll be wishing the chair had never arrived. Two of the screws were poorly fabricated and were slightly bent, which required the power of a pile driver to ensure a fit into the holes... when one has arthritis in the hands and fingers, this was quite a painful experience. The chair finally was completed, and when sat in, pushed against the back and forced the "sitter" forward. There is no "tilt" mechanism to move the backrest "backwards" to allow for a more comfortable sitting position. The elevator control worked just fine. For the money spent, I would increase your budget a wee bit more to obtain a chair that (perhaps??) isn't manufactured in China, or one that offers some more sitting comfort controls. There is not much one can do about poor manufacturing of the screws or the screw holes, other than try and force the materials where they are supposed to be... definitely a building challenge for younger folk, that's for certain.

Not as nice as I was expecting. It looked cheap and after several months of use, it kept sliding down. I won't be buying this chair again.
I Love this chair!
