Mayline Napoli Office Desk

I dont get any reviews that are less than stellar. I had trepidations about buying furniture online. They were misplaced. First the honey cherry wood is a richer brown color than pictured online. Putting the desk together is nowhere near as difficult as some complained. One needs to mechanically inclined, but that is it. I got the 72 length without the wraparound, credenza, two file cabinets, small 24 table and matching desk chairs. Every day I walk into my office and I feel wow! It is a gorgeous look.

For the price no complaints. Looks great, top is really solid. Due to the floating design of the top it's definitely not the most solid for moving around. Make sure you have a space for it and be careful moving it around. You have to pick it up by the legs (can't be picked up from the top) Better for notebook users as there are no wire holes and the vanity panel isn't a full length panel. No hiding big PC boxes underneath. Use a Macbook Air or an all in one PC or iMac to minimize clutter. Pic on site looks good, but imagine a big ugly PC sitting down there LOL

I wanted a contemporary desk for my home office when I moved to a contemporary home. I searched stores and on-line catalogs for 2 months before settling on the Napoli desk, and I could not be happier with my choice. It looks great, is easy to clean and to move. I'm also glad I paid extra to have the delivery guys assemble it, because it took two experienced guys about 45 minutes to finish the job. My only "complaint" -- and I knew it in advance -- is that there is no option to add a keyboard drawer, so my keyboard sits on the desktop, a bit higher than I like. My solution: I raised my chair a few inches. Now it's perfect!

I'm always skeptical when ordering furniture online because of the inability to assess the tactile feel of a piece, especially a desk that you're in constant contact with. The Napoli has blown me away. Beautiful, smooth finishes, and very solid feeling. Worth twice the money. And be sure to order the drawer unit with it -- it's extremely well done, though a little shallow and so won't hold much.
