Super simple to use safe that has a backup key if you forget the combination. It is pretty heavy but also bolts down to the floor so no one will be walking away with it unless they rip your floor up too. Excellent purchase.

So, the only reason I am back looking at safes, which brought me here and reminded me to write this review, is that our safe - this exact safe* - was stolen. It's not the safe's fault. My husband didn't feel the need to bolt it down, as he decided a thief could rip it out of the floor if they're determined. Gee, I wouldn't know, since a robber walked right out the door with it. I'm not saying it's a light-weight safe. But it could be heavier, as a strong guy - strong enough to break the back door open - was able to haul it over a 6-foot fence when he had the dark of night and hours of uninterrupted time to do it. Or maybe he had help. So, as for a review about the safe (and not my husband's foolishness), it was fine for our small business. *I am pretty sure this is the exact same safe, but if it is, it's now $100 cheaper. I have the old instructions, but the instruction sheet doesn't mention the company name or model # at all! However, it has a poorly-photocopied picture of the keypad, and it's exactly the same as the safe shown here. It was easy to set the combo, easy to use, batteries seemed to last (at least, didn't change them in the year we had the safe). It was mildly annoying to have to hit the "start" button before entering the combo, but you get into a habit. I did want a larger interior, so I'm not sure I'll buy this same size but overall I was satisfied with the safe. And this time, I won't wait for my husband to get around to bolting it down, I'll just do it myself.
