Still Satisfied a year later. from vestal, NY on 10/17/2013 – Verified Buyer
purchased this product over a year ago and forgot to leave a review at the time. My experience from day one was Great. used an online coupon code to save 10 off the order to start, combine that with free shipping and the price could not be beaten for a hot tub. Plus wayfair gave us a purchase credit towards our next purchase. I used the self service truck delivery which stated that the driver only had to leave the tub on the curb we had to take care of it from there. I tipped the driver $30 and he was more than happy to load the hot tub onto a dolly and wheel it around to the back of my house and help me get it into my door on its side so that it would fit on my sun porch. he then waited for me to make sure the area that was formerly an indoor garden was level and would hold the tub exactly how I wanted it. It took a little over an hour to fill from my garden hose but once it was full I plugged it into the wall outlet and turned it on. Plug and play just like it stated. the temp read 66 when I turned it on but that is because that was the lowest reading. it was closer to somewhere in the 30's coming out of my well. it did take almost 24 hours to reach my desired temp of 102. it has a smaller heater than a typical pool place would sell with a hot tub but that is also why you can plug it into a 110v outlet and not need special 220v service put in. We place a little bit of shock in every time we get out and if we go the whole week without using it I through a cup of shock in on Sunday. I purchased hot tub test strips and all is good with the levels on the strip. If I don't though in the shock I tend to get suds when the tub is running at full capacity and although some people like suds and foam it is dirt and body oils that cause it. (gross) hence the shock treatments and all is good. I live in upstate New York and the winters get pretty cold here. I can tell you that if we get in in the middle of winter single digits or lower outside and tub says its 102 (our desired temp, it does go to 104) that within the first few minutes we can see the temp drop slowly but it is not in a heated area its just on a sun porch and the heat has nowhere to go but out once we get in. the longest we stayed in at one time n the winter was probably 30 minutes and at that time the temp had dropped to 96. I have never had a big hot tub so I am not sure if the commercial hot tubs with the 220v service would do the same thing or if the bigger heaters would keep up better. In the summer we do not keep the tub as hot we keep it at 94 and we have stayed in for almost an hour at times and the tub stayed at 94 the whole time. There is two jets on the one side that rotates and all the other jets are stationary with the exception that you can point them in any direction. each seat has three jets pointed at you back so I find myself always wanting the one seat with the rotating jets. each jet can be turned all the up for max power or ever turned off. The tub states its a four person but the most we have ever had was two adults and one child. it would be cramped with four adults in the tub. Overall four stars. Even though we don't use it as much now as we did when we first got it as the novelty of it has worn off. Its nice to know that I can keep it going at all times until I do want to use it as my electricity did not change more a few dollars being that it does not require the 220v. If I had gotten a tub with a larger heater I would probably have buyers remorse on some of those winter weeks I don't use it.

Love this Spa from Charleston, SC on 09/18/2014 – Verified Buyer
This spa is great for two large people - 4 would be a tight fit. My husband and I love it. We've had it set up for about a week now and use it every night. It is exactly what we expected. We were trying to decide between a soaking tub in the bathroom or a small spa and decided this spa was a better value and more economical in regard to overall water usage. It was easy to set up with clear instructions, the cover helps keep the water hot and it is a great way to relax after a challenging yoga class or run with the dogs!

Lifesmart Rock Solid Simplicity Plug and Play Spa from South Range, WI on 08/06/2014 – Verified Buyer
This spa is the perfect place to relax and forget the stresses of our work day.Wonderfully simple to set up, it accomodates two larger people, or four smaller ones comfortably. The construction and insulation is solid. We had ours in a patio the first year when there were -20 temps, and we watched the snow fall throughout the long winter.Definitely worth the money!

We LOVE it! from Mary Esther, FL on 11/19/2012 – Verified Buyer
We bought this in Jul 2011 and set it up Oct 2010. We had it going until May of 2012 and just set it back up again (Nov 2012). It's been GREAT! We had a dedicated outlet installed and set it up on handi-pads (I don't really recommend these but does the job for now!). It holds temperature well and the only downfall is that since it doesn't have a real heater, the temp goes down as you sit in it for a while and doesn't go back up because the cover is off and air is cold. But that's only a small downfall because the energy savings provided by the type of friction system it has is great. We bought an extra foam cover that goes on top of the water to help keep it hotter longer, and not need to come on as much. Anyway, it looks nice and works nice. The waterfall is nice but we don't use it much, and we make sure to close the jets when not in use because that pushes cooler air into the tub, thus requires more/longer heating time. The extra steps are not included, and are kind of expensive and wide for our space so we don't have any right now but will add an alternative later on. Oh and it's supposed to come with a red and blue lens cover for the light which I had to call for the blue one because it wasn't packaged with the tub. If you are hesitant, and want a hot tub but don't want the high cost of installing a large one, or the electricity cost of a true heater.. get this. You won't be disappointed!

Love it! from Coburg, OR on 02/24/2014 – Verified Buyer
I ordered this hot tub to help with my sore back. Got tired of using my parent's all the time. It came in only 11 days!! My roommate and I easily rolled it on its side to the back yard while still in shrink wrap and put it on the deck. Plugged it and filled it up. Set up time: 30 minutes. It took a good 36 hours to get to temperature. I set it for 103, but somehow got turned to 99 and it stopped there sometime around 36 hour mark. Would have gotten to 103 that evening I am sure. My roommate put the clips on for me while I was away that day, so he might have knocked the down button with the cover while messing with that. Its now currently holding at 102 with very little effort. Jets seem pretty strong for a little tub like this. My parents' bigger tub is a lot stronger, but these are fine. Tip: take protective cover film off control panel to see light display better. And don't buy the steps unless you are really short legged and want the matching look. I had an old wood step that my son uses, but I am 5'11 and don't need it.

Questions & Answers

"Hi, can this be plugged into a 120 amp outlet?" — Chris
"Hi Chris, this hot tub needs 110V wiring on a 15 amp circuit. Also, the spa needs to be on a dedicated circuit because of the electric draw it will take especially on start up."
— Lilian from Wayfair
"Hello, does this come with a cover and chemicals?" — Sharon
"Hello Sharon, this spa comes with the Deluxe locking energy saving cover, but does not include the chemicals. You can go to any local swim or spa location to get the chemicals needed for this spa."
— Michelle from Wayfair
"How does the hot tub make the water hot on 110 and keep the water hot when not running? How hot can the water get in degrees?" — Kristen
"Hi Kristen, the heating system used on this jet spa is thermal friction. It features Eco thermo plastic, and full foam insulation for maximum efficiency and minimal heat loss. This is the best method of insulation available today. The water temperatures should be between 100 degrees F and 104 degrees F. If it exceeds 104 degrees F it is not considered safe."
— Kellie from Wayfair
"Hello, does it come with the step stool that is in the picture?" — Katie
"Hi Katie, the Lifesmart Rock Solid Simplicity Plug and Play Spa with 12 Jets does not come with the step stool, but you can purchase them. They are called the "LifeSmart Discovery Matching Sandstone Spa Steps For The Rock Solid Simplicity Spa.""
— Tauny from Wayfair
"Hello, is it possible to dissolve epson salt and pour it in the tub (or any kind of salts used for the body)?" — Carmel
"Hello Carmel, it is not recommended to add any additional products to the water as it could cause damage to the jets."
— Nacim from Wayfair
