Kestell maple folding chair

Chairs seem to be solid and well built, but finish is applied in a sloppy manner (same on all 4). Rough spot at middle of back on bottom edge appears to be how chair was hung while finish was applied. Back edge of seat has several big drip points in the finish (suspect chair was folded when finish was applied. The spot on back is small and I should be able to rub it smooth with very fine steel wool. The seat bottom spot are pretty big and will take a little more work to remove. Really wanted to give the chair a 3.5 rating. Had the finish been right, I would have given the chairs (bought 4) a 5.

Quality Chair

The chair is sturdy, well-made of quality materials and attractive. There was no assembly required. Most often used at the kitchen table.
