Fathers Day Gift
Diana from Centerburg, OH – Verified Buyer
Very pleased with this cart! Bought it for my husband for Father's Day to keep in the garage for all his BBQ supplies, tools, spices and rubs. Will work great for a prep area he can wheel right out by the grill and no more leaning down to a folding table or running in the house for this and that. Can't wait to give it to him!! The box arrived basically falling apart but nothing was lost or damaged, everything was wrapped well. I'm assuming a lone Fed Ex driver damaged the box getting it from his truck to my porch. So, being a gift, I did the assembly myself. There were so many pieces it was a little overwhelming ay first the the directions were so easy, everything was clearly marked, even the screws were marked not only with their letter but a brief description "for the sides" or "for the bottom". Only needed my son's help to put the top on. Possibly the easiest thing I've ever assembled. Seems to be sturdy and is going to work well for out purposes.

Package arrived in fairly rough shape, to the point I was almost hesitant to accept it from the shipper. Despite the condition, I opened the box (one large 4x4 foot box approximately 6" deep) and began to inspect the parts. To my surprise nothing was damaged. It is packed very well. My biggest concern was the stainless steel top, which was appropriately packed even better than the rest. No damage whatsoever, not even a scratch. The wood used is fairly solid and has decent thickness to it. The exception is the inlay for the doors and the panels which are basically just thin sheets of cheap wood - these aren't structural, just cosmetic. The only MDF used is for the stainless steel top, it's one inch thick wrapped with the steel top. As for the top itself, there's good and not so good. The good is that unlike the example photo of the corner, it is NOT folded over but rather has a nice cleanly welded seam (see my photo). The not so good is that the top is not exactly smooth like restaurant-quality stainless steel tables. The tabletop has very obvious lengthwise grain to it that you can feel using your fingernails, but it's not cosmetically ugly but it doesn't look as nice as a stainless steel appliance. As for those who complained about the top being easy to scratch… I don't know what to say other than it's called 'STAIN-less' not 'SCRATCH-less' steel. Anyone who has worked on commercial kitchen tables knows this stuff scratches as part of normal use. Get used to it. Just avoid putting deep scratches in it and you'll never really notice it, and for goodness sake use a cutting board! Assembly was easy, perhaps 2 hours. You NEED two people to assemble the first part of it as well as a to help lift the top on. Other than about 20 minutes of help, the second person is not needed. It was nice to see that the stainless top and the fold up part are already assembled as one piece. The only issue I had was two upright parts were about a quarter inch short. They simply cut them too short. Other than that everything fits snug and lined up well. The drawers are SOLID and built to last… but as others have said, the drawers are too short for practical use. No bread knives, spatulas, carving forks, whisks, etc are going to fit. The drawers are exactly 11-3/8" long (or should I say 'short') inside. The cabinets are full height and full depth. There are only two shelves included, so you can use one on either side or two shelves on just one side. I chose to put two shelves on one side and use the other side for tall stuff like some 14" carving knives, cutting boards, and big rolling pins. You can fit some decent sized pots in the cabinets but frying pans will not fit due to their long handles. The wheels are nice and this thing rolls great. The wheels are just fine on our hardwood floors, no risk of damage. As can be seen in my photos, if you chose to leave the spice rack and towel rack off, you will be left with some holes. Some can be plugged up with the included plugs, however, the plugs only fit the larger of the holes. You will be stuck with at least two holes on either end unless you can find something nice to plug them with. We chose to leave the racks off so that the unit is shorter – they should consider making the side parts optional and thus provide proper plugs. The ACTUAL depth of the stainless top (excluding the fold-up part) is exactly 17-1/2". The width is exactly 43". The fold-up part is very nice and rigid. It's thick wood and seems quite strong with the support in place. As for those who complained the support leg drags, all I can say is you didn't adjust the screw foot correctly (or at all), or you have warped floors. Mine is about 1/8" off the floor so it never drags and when the table top is folded out it is perfectly level. Over-all I'm very happy with this island. The drawers are the single biggest point against this thing. For the record, there is at least another 1-1/2" of space behind the drawers, they could have easily made them longer.

First of all, THANK YOU Wayfair for shipping to Hawaii!! And the shipping price was reasonable. We even got the cart sooner than the anticipated delivery date. My husband and I ive in a fairly small condo so the cart is the perfect size, and the casters work great to move it around for easy floor cleaning. The folding leaf makes an efficient dining area, but just wish it was made of stainless steel instead of wood. The drawers are a little flimsy, but we're happy to have the extra storage space. My husband was able to put it together by himself in about two hours without much difficulty. In summary, the cart met all our needs: mobile, extra storage space, folding leaf and perfect size.
I really like my new cart!!!

Not only is this cart good for putting my microwave on, but it is also good for storing my kitchen aid, toaster, hand towels. The cart is definitely high quality. The cabinets and drawers are very nice. It also gives you a lot of extra counter space, especially with the part that you can push up.
Not worth the time or money

I am undecided as to how to rate this item, so I will list what I think are positives and negatives. The positives creates much needed storage space, the doors are solid wood. The negatives this piece is not worth the money paid. The side panels and back panels are 14 plywood. The panel joints fit loosely showing gaps. the pre-drilled stabilizer pieces were drilled incorrectly then sloppily filled with wood putty - ick. If I would have know how sub-quality this piece was I would have spent a little more money and shopped for a solid well made piece. However, after spending the time to build it, I am reluctantly keeping it.

Purchased for someone else. Went over to help them assemble and they had it all together when we got there. They love it! Looks great. Provides lots of utility and frees up counter space in their kitchen. The kids feel special, having their own dedicated breakfast bar! A home run.
AWESOME! very high quality

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cart. It took HOURS to assemble (I did it by myself) but was well worth it. It is heavy and of exceptional quality. It has way more storage space than I had expected and the locking casters roll smoothly. I put two matching stools at the drop leaf counter top on the back and the kids enjoy eating their lunch there while I prepare food on the stainless steel counter.

Love my island. It was easy to assemble took longer than I expected, not all the screws worked properly. There are issues with the stainless steel top someone placed a cold beverage on it and it left a ring, it wasn't there maybe five minutes you can still see it even after using a stainless steel cleaner. Also had a bowl on it and it left scratch marks. Other than that it is wonderful!
A great addition to my Kitchen that I've gotten a lot of compliments on.

I love my Kitchen Island. My 14 year old grandson put it together. A lot of storage space and drawers. Now I have a place for my potatoes and onions in the bottom drawer. The side doors are big enough for my Large stand -up mixer, waffle Iron, Grill-sandwich combo Machine, and Blinder. This Island has an extended flip up top so it can be used with a bar stool to eat at or to sit and prepare food. A great addition to my Kitchen.

this cart was great for our needs, we had a spot in our kitchen that had no base cabinet/countertop and upper cabinetry, we didn't want to spend the money on build in cabinetry. This wasn't the easiest to assemble with one person but I got the job done. The kit included an allen rench and a straight allen rench to use with a drill/power screwdriver. I didn't see the straight rench until after I was done, but I luckily found one in my basement that fit. The only notible problem was that the cart smelled like glue for atleast a week: I put it together the very next day we received it, but we had to leave the doors and drawers open for a week or two to let the glue smell discipate. was able to use IKEA stainless-steel shelves that matched pretty well.
