Stanton Writing Desk

This is a nice looking little desk, however assembly can be very tedious. You should have a large rugged area to lay out the boards and hardware. Take your time in assembling the unit and follow directions closely.

I bought this desk for a guest room. I like it because it allows me to have both a desk and a bookshelf in a single piece of furniture (which saved me some money), and it is fairly compact. It's a pretty standard piece of flat-pack furniture--some kind of veneer over particle board--and the quality isn't particularly high, even for flat-pack. I didn't like the fact that they give you stickers to cover the screw holes. Some kind of wooden or even plastic plug would have been a lot classier. The desk was pretty easy to put together; I think it took me less than two hours. I did have to redrill some of the guide holes in the fold-out desk panel, though. I'm only giving it three stars because I think it might be a little overpriced for the quality. I'm not sure I would recommend this as a piece of furniture that is intended for heavy or daily use, but it works nicely as an accent piece that won't see much action.
Perfect for child's room

Contrary to other reviews, we had ok trouble putting this together. It's sleek and functional without taking up. Lot of space. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a great desk for small spaces. It was fairly easy to put together and made really well! It is nice that the desk part can be open when you need it but then folds up when you want to hide your work.

I really like this writing desk. It was a little difficult to assemble due to the lack of written instructions. If I were to improve on this desk, I would include a few written instructions to go with the photos, so that it would be easier to assemble.

The desk is great, my only concern are the arms that hold the fold down table should be a little stronger. Assembly was easy and is very stable. My family loves it.

This took a while to put together, but once together looks like a quality piece of furniture. Fits perfectly in my small space

It was perfect for my needs. It was exactly what I saw on the website. What I disliked was the assembly -

This piece was better than expected and is great for a small area space. Good quality and provides a good space for additional papers and printers. I would recommend this product.
Construction is Hard

Although I am absolutely in love with the outcome of this piece, it was pretty hard to put together. The directions weren't as clear as they could have been. Thankfully I am happy with the outcome!
