Charles & Ray Eames United States Charles Ormond Eames, Jr (1907–1978) and Bernice Alexandra "Ray" (née Kaiser) Eames (1912–1988) were American designers, who worked in and made major contributions to modern architecture and furniture. They also worked in the fields of industrial and graphic design, fine art and film.
Introduced in 1958 as a special project by Ray Eames for a private residence being designed by Eero Saarinen and Alexander Girard, the Eames Aluminum Group originally was specified as "leisure furniture." Now used in numerous locations, their classic lines and comfortable suspension have kept them in demand for numerous years and spaces, from contemporary homes to elegant offices and hip startups.| Item: | Dimensions: | Weight: |

Nice conference room chair This is a great classic conference room chair for occasional use, but theyre not very comfortable to sit in for more than an hour. I would not want one at my desk, but they do look great in our conference room. |

All Time Classic Chair Im sitting this this chair as I type. This is an amazingly well built time-less chair. Mine is in green vinyl. I will say that for the first couple days after it was out of the box the vinyl smelled a bit strong (like a new car). But that is completely gone now. These are well build and take a lot of abuse wether in a home of office environment. Be aware of cheep knock-offs, the metal, screws, caster and materials in general are very inferior. We have one at the office for comparison and it is scary. |
