Assembly was Difficult.

I was very interested in the sleek lines and cherry color which I thought would be a great match for existing teak furniture. It was, but what I liked about the look made it difficult to assemble. The panels are too thin. If you start a nail or screw slightly off and do not notice you will splinter the out side veneer. I would suggest glue where pegs hold the panels together. There are sticky dots instead of plastic or wood caps. I thought it would be of better quality. All my other purchases have been.

You do get what you pay for. It was easily damaged just trying to put it together. The baseboard that came fro the fromt of the unit, had a surface scar near the floor which was covered by the carpet it sits one. The pegs were separate and then several were still attached to a plastic mold part which I had to cut apart. I damaged it while working on it. Its just very cheaply made but its okay for what I am using it.

It is ok for the price ( it was on sale). I bought it for my son's room and it looks nice in his room.

This is a nice unit. The color is rich and beautiful. Heavy for it's size. It would work in many areas of the home. I'm using it in a kid's room. The included baskets are sturdy and trendy.

I'm not a very strong person, and didn't know until nearly finished assemblying that two of the boards had broken, one was screwing in a screw and the other seemed to be a stress fracture for no apparent reason down the side of one of the panels. It will not show. It WAS very easy to put together. Maybe someone else would have better luck. I read lots of reviews before I purchased it. The drawers are inexpensive but functional with a separate insert to flatten out the bottom and make them a little sturdier. They are attractive. I did not think it was a good value for my money and will not buy another one.
Not so good directions
Wendy from Noblesville, IN– Verified Buyer
Was to be used in mud room to collect hats, mittens and scarves but assembly did not allow. Packed and shipped well, assembly was hard because directions were useless. Screws punched through the bottom piece so using in the open was not an option.

Good looking AND functional!

Good looking bookcase and the extra storage is a definite plus. Good quality and easy to put together. Love shopping your site for home furnishings and have yet to be disappointed with anything. We'll be back!
Cynthia from TAYLOR, MI– Verified Buyer
I bought this bookcase because the dimensions were exactly what I was looking for. Be careful screwing it together as the wood started to bend and chip slightly as we were doing it. It didn't get ruined but this is definately not a high quality bookcase.
Ann from BOULDER, CO– Verified Buyer
The bookcase is really not what I expected, but it is serving its purpose. The "baskets" are a dark brown canvasy-material that do not hold their shape well and are flimsy.
