Overall pretty good.

I wish I could give this product 3.5 stars. I am happy overall with the desk, but like other reviewers, I had the cam connectors literally shatter to pieces just from putting them in the designated holes. I could literally break the metal into pieces with my fingers. NO JOKE! SO, if you're planning on purchasing this, go down to home depot and buy yourself a package of (4) cam connectors, cost me just under $4. I called Wayfair to complain and they reimbursed me the cost of the new cam connectors. Overall the desk is very sturdy and exactly what I needed for my 9 yr old. Shipping was extremely fast. Received in hand within 2 days of ordering. Definitely would recommend w/ the additional purchased parts. Sturdy Poor quality parts.
You get what you pay for...

This desk is cute, but tiny. And for what I paid for it, not a horrible choice. Got it for my 9 year olds new room to do her homework. Perfect size for her. Although I was frustrated that some of the hardware broke apart in the packaging, and other pieces were missing. I wrote to Wayfair, to tell them about the damaged parts, and they got IMMEDIATELY back to me, with an estimated time when they would send me replacements. I went ahead and found new hardware at Home Depot, and put the desk together anyway. 3 days later, a whole new desk arrived at my door! VERY HAPPY with the customer service, but ok with my TWO tiny desks :-)
Small but comfortable

It was a breeze to put together. However, the shelves are only held on by screws and wouldn't spurt much weight. Don't stack heavy books there! It works great for a small work area with preferably a laptop. On hardwood it will slide easily. There's drawers are made of fabric, so don't over load it. Lastly, it makes a great deal for kids and young teenagers or smaller adults. I'm a little over 6 foot and I can squeeze under it, but I felt I would break it. And get a desk chair that will fit. Again, the theme is small.
Practical little desk-so practical I purchased 2!!!

This cute little desk is just as described. If you have read many of the other reviews you will notice, a lot of people complain about the size of the desk. Even though it is stated in the description. A lot of the reviews recommend it for a 5 year old. I am an adult who is 5'1 ; and the sizing is great. I would not recommend it if you are above 5'3 to 5'4. It is a very simple desk. It seems sturdy enough. I have a fairly large desktop on one of the desks. The drawers are made of an inexpensive neutral material, they cover the card board inserts, the drawers are collapsable. You must open them up and put the on insert in the center of the drawer. It is not a big deal. They are similar to the little popup baskets you can get at the dollar store. They may be a bit flimsy for some people. They work just fine to hold markers, pencils etc... You could always find sturdier bins to place in the slots, so if the flimsy drawers are turning you away from this desk, remember you do not have to use the bins that are included. Remember this is an inexpensive little desk. You do get what you are paying for it. I purchased mine for under $40 a desk, during one of their sales. So far it is sturdy. Assembly was easy. Everything was drilled in the correct spots. The only issue, the cam connectors, crumbled into multiple pieces, and could not be used. You can purchase them at your local hardware stores. I am not sure what purpose they even serve, then perhaps a bit more stability. The white pole, is a sturdier plastic pole. The wood is a composite type wood, so it has that plastic like feel to it. The desk is not reversible. Unless you drill new holes on the opposite side of where the horizontal support board is located on the bottom. If you are looking for an inexpensive small desk, that is functional. That is easy to assemble. And is as described. Then I would highly recommend this desk. Before purchasing any product online, I highly recommend reading the reviews, and researching the product. Then you will know exactly what you are purchasing before it arrives to your door.
Good for its purpose

I wanted a simple desk of sorts to hold my laptop while I worked from home as I thought I didn't need that much space. I was originally looking at the very small laptop desks that was just a flat piece on top of a stand. I'm glad that I didn't go with something that small. This desk holds my laptop and also other work items. It's a good size for someone like me who is 5'3". I don't know if it will work that well for anyone much bigger. The desk sits fairly low. All in all, it serves its purpose for me! Oh..and it was super easy to put together!
Serves its purpose for temporary use
Yinan from Ashburn, VA – Verified Buyer
The desk is small enough to fit the little space I have in the bedroom. The parts are not of great quality but after assembly it serves its purpose. Four of the screws were broken into pieces as soon as I pushed them into their holes, but to my surprise the desk still stands on its own. I won't recommend it if you are thinking of a serious piece of furniture in your office, and I don't think it will survive from moving etc. Temporary use is OK.

I bought this desk for my grand-daughter. She is in Middle School and has more homework and in need of a desk. l like the size, color and the ability to add a coordinating bookcase to this at a later date. Also this comes in additional colors so I can get the same items for her younger brother next year.
DESK IS GREAT BUY!

finish matched current furniture but cam lock nuts were defective[crumbled like chips] notified Wayfair customer service ,who is shipping replacements out asap, good quality over all though, actually better than anticipated for the money, pleased with quick response from customer service[now hope parts are here before Christmas [would recommend this product, would have gotten cam locks at hardware store myself, but they didn't have size needed in stock] keeping my fingers crossed, packaging of product was great
Great little desk
Edna from Palm Desert, CA – Verified Buyer
This desk was a little difficult to assemble, but the instructions were precise, just took a bit of patience. Overall it is the perfect desk to hold our small laptop, and small, but efficient in the corner of the room. Drawers come in handy for notes, phonebooks and pencils. Pros: great value, perfect for the space we had in mind. Not made of real wood... but sturdy enough, and definitely a good buy!

Only get this if you plan for your child never to grow. You wont be able to put a normal sized chair under it without it looking ridiculous. It's not reversible which I was under the impression it was, but it could be if you pre drill other holes. I wound up using it as a TV stand. Not useful at all as a desk. the build is pretty sturdy though which is what I like about the tube type furniture. There is more assembly required with this that just tubes though.
