FLOORTEX Cleartex Advantagemat Medium Pile Chair Mat

For a medium pile carpet, I wish this mat were a little stiffer. My chair doesn't always roll on it very easily because the mat still sinks into the carpet slightly.

No problems with the mat. I wish it were a little bigger, covering more floor area. The mat is a little spngey. Office chair slides on it no problem.

Edge of mat doesn't lay down FLAT on the floor. If not careful, you can trip on it. Maybe it will in time; only had it two weeks.

My Better Half and I desperately needed new chairmats. His home office is carpeted, mine has hardwood flooring. The Floortex mats we ordered met our requirements perfectly and were very reasonably priced. Delivery was prompt, too. Thanks very much!

Does what I had hoped it would do. Good value for the money. I highly recommend this item if you have a low to medium pile carpet to protect.

I bought one for myself and one for my wife. Our old ones were cheaper, harder plastic, and had cracked. We've used the Floortex mats for three months, and they're definitely better quality. I shopped around, read customer reviews, and settled on this model. Reasonably priced and durable. A nice feature is the beveled edge. Makes it a lot easier to get the chair back onto the mat when it slips off. Also, the plastic is flexible enough that the chair wheels don't leave depression imprints. If you don't buy this mat, buy SOMETHING, or you'll wear out your carpet.

I spent a lot of time trying to find a replacement mat for my 0.08 thick vinyl mat that was falling apart. I got maybe 4 years out of that one, so I'm not complaining. I weigh around 190 lbs. I was really interested in getting a polycarbonate mat, based on that material's far superior strength and stiffness. But the pricing was just too much higher. I've had this mat for maybe 2 weeks so far. I'm very pleased with it. My chair casters temporarily indent the mat only slightly, making moving around a breeze. I expect the mat to last well beyond 4 years, before even starting to crack. (I guess that that is a wishful thinking guess)

The product is well made and a good quality PVC. It seems to be holding up well. We are not using it for a desk, but rather in front of the sink over our oriental carpet--to avoid splashes and spills. Although it has a Lip for medium pile carpets, without a chair sitting on the mat, it does slide around--the lip doesnt grab into the carpet enough. We just readjust as necessary. If used for the intended purpose with a desk chair I wouldnt expect any problems.

In the few weeks that weve had this floor mat it has been holding up. The test will be how long will it last. This brand appears to be good quality.
