There are thousands of office chairs out there, but you really only have 4 options worth considering. 1) This chair for under $75. 2) The Ikea Markus for $200 (plus hefty shipping if you don't happen to live near an Ikea) 3) The Steelcase Leap for $900 4) Skip the chair and buy a standing desk If I didn't live 3 hours away from the nearest Ikea, I probably would have gone with the Markus. Everywhere online says its the best chair in the price range, and beats out chairs twice the price when considering features and comfort. Still, I couldn't stomach the massive shipping fee, and I needed a chair sooner than the next time I'd be near an Ikea. My search led me to this chair which came highly reviewed by several websites. I only needed it until I moved the following year into a place where I could get a standing desk, so for $50, I took the chance. I've had the chair for the better part of a year now and I have had zero problems with it. I can sit in it all day without discomfort (save for the general I've-been-sitting-all-day discomfort that comes with sitting all day), and it gets the job done. I'm now at a point where I can get that standing desk, and will, but I won't be getting rid of this chair as originally planned since it has performed so well. You know, just in case. If you're in the market for a chair you're going to sit in all day long at your desk for the next several years, then skip this chair and invest in the Leap. If you need this chair for anything less than your full-time office chair, however, there's no reason to spend more than you have to. Either get this one, or the Ikea Markus (and its 10 year warranty).

I was worried that this chair would look (or feel) cheap, so I was so pleased to see how good it looks and feels! As others have noted, it's on the narrow side -- which for my purposes was a big plus (I'm smallish and have a small desk), but it would likely be a problem for a larger!/heavier person.
Great for the price!

Both my husband and I work from home so we needed effective office chairs that would offer support but not empty out wallets. This fit the bill for him perfectly. He sometimes needs a little extra lumbar support, but generally finds it comfortable and supportive. His office buddy, one of our cats, Simon, thinks it makes a great nap time hideaway when it's empty and tucked under the desk; so it gets an extra star from Simon!
A Great Chair for small people

The chair is exactly as described. Fortunately, my wife and I are small people and fit nicely in the chair. If you are a little over weight, then this chair is not for you as you will be snugged in by the arms. It functions very well up and down as well as swiveling about.. I am usually not a fan of leather or leather like materials as they make me sweat and stick. However, I have not had any of those problems.

I needed a desk chair that rolled, swiveled, tilted, but was on the smaller side. This chair was a great deal, easy to put together, and has suited my needs exactly. I'm 5'5 and 140lbs, husband is 6' and 230lbs, we both find it to be comfortable. If I were looking for something to criticize, I guess the seat could be softer...but I'm scrutinizing right now for this review, it's not something I think about. Five stars for the function and looks, taking into account the low price.

Great chair for $45. It's good leather and got some ergonomics/lumbar support, tilts, lowers/raises, and swivels. Most impressive was that the plastic wheels don't squeak and move smoothly. Cons: 1-page directions are too sketchy...better ones would have saved me 30 minutes of assembly. Would be nice to have assembly videos.

We were looking for an inexpensive chair as we don't use our home office that extensively. This chair fit our needs perfectly. It's compact and stylish.
Good for me

I'm 5"0 and weigh 125 pounds. This chair is perfect :) it's not as soft and comfy as my boyfriends office chair but he probably also spent a bit more than just $73 on his. It's decent quality and was cake to put together. I recommend to someone who is spending a couple hours sitting in it each day but not an all day chair to sit in. :)
Nice chair for the price

I bought two of these chairs at about 50 bucks a piece. I searched a long time to get a good deal on a chair. These are worth the little extra money compared to the crappier cheaper ones. I like to be able to lean back and this chair has that feature. It was easy to assemble and came with all the tools. Comfortable, affordable. good deal
Simple and Comfortable!

For the price, I am impressed. The chair is made with good quality material. It's soft and not too bulky like some other office chairs can be which makes it a perfect office chair for a small apartment. Would definitely recommend for students!
