When purchasing this heater remember to forget about the "instant" heat you might expect from a bulky, unsafe 1500 watt+ wall heater. Don't expect a room to have immediate and complete heat... This is a convection heater, safe and thorough for those who are patient enough to wait for it to do its stuff! I placed this in a guest room on the second floor...turned on the switch, closed the door and walked away...in less than an hour I returned to a once frigid guest room and found it pleasantly warm (in the winter). It stayed on permanently in that room until I went to shut it down...so, next time, I will have added a thermostat connection that will monitor the heat, on and off on its own... It is far worth the patience, and especially the affordable amount of money when I review electric bills. So...forget about your "instant food" syndromes...be a bit patient, and it will reward you as it did me. Note...I too raise chickens here in frigid northern Wisconsin...but haven't yet decided if I want to place one of these i the coop...but perhaps the bathroom even though they haven't recommended it for there. Stay warm...

Easy to install in minutes with drill and included drill bit. Heater works like it should but make sure to not buy it for too big of a room. Our family room is about 220 sqft and this heater runs sun up to sundown and barely makes a difference. Its lterally right behind us on the couch and we dont feel it at all. Will be good for fall and spring weather where the woodstove is not necessary to start and just need the chill taken out, but winter is useless for this size room. Would buy more but I feel as though i would need another two to make a difference in that room, but at that point i may as well get a long 1500 heater that i know will work for sure with 220v. Probably perfect for bathrooms and laundry rooms though.

I have only been using this heater for a couple of days now so this is only an initial review. First thing to note is that the panel was found to be cracked when unpacked. Crack was not sever and internal wiring was intact so I was able to patch and mount on wall. All hardware was included and installation was simple. Unit powered up and heated fairly quickly and was at max in about 20 minutes based on measurement by thermal camera. Temperature at surface was much higher than expected - about 180 deg. F (at hottest point) and was not uniform across entire surface. Lowest temperature measured was about 150 deg. F in upper half of panel (verses 180 in lower section). Thermal camera shows wiring through out the panel and not just in center as some reviewers have noted. There was convection across the unit with heat rising to ceiling. I am heating a room that is a bit larger than the mfg. recommends - about 150 sq. feet so unit may not be sufficient, but time will tell. I may add another unit on opposite wall depending on performance. A fan will probably be required to distribute heat though the room.
Just what the hens needed

After last year's severely cold winter, we wanted to ensure the health of our small flock of backyard chickens by adding a safe, reliable heat source. This flat panel heater fit the bill. Mounted on the wall well away from where the chickens might encounter it, no flames or other dangers. Use it in conjunction with a thermostatically controlled outlet -- on at 35 degrees, off at 45 degrees. Not looking to broil our girls, just make sure that their hen house doesn't get below freezing. So far, so good. Installation was easy.
Good, but not great.

I suppose the design just wasn't what I hoped, but the design is clearly what make sit energy efficient. I bought this for my shower room, a small ~24 sq ft room with 12' ceilings. The idea is simple enough, cool air flows over the heating plate that is close to the wall and the warm air rises. The bummer part of course, is that there is no convection, no way to increase the air flow over the plate to better disperse the heat. I have thought about placing a fan toward the plate, which would probably work very well. However, I'm sure this will decrease the efficiency of the energy consumption as I'd be running another electrical device and cooling the plate that would then have to heat more rapidly. All-in-all it certainly does heat up the room I have it in to about 10 degrees warmer than it would otherwise be without it. I also have it plugged in to the wall with a timer. It comes on from 5AM to 9AM and then again in the evening from 6PM to 10PM. Increases the energy savings for sure!

This product was shipped almost immediately, and I received it within 3 days. It was easy to hang and does well for the small room I use it. Just a FYI - I had ordered another one from another company at the same time, not knowing which I would prefer. I was well over a week receiving it, and it was damaged. It took them another week for send an email for replacement, saying they did not want it returned. The shipped another, same time frame, and it was damaged....same ritual, another week and it took them almost 3 weeks to credit my card. Needless to say, I will order from Wayfair again, and have in the past. Their products are great.

Love this concept. Does not take up floor space. I purchase for my back room that does not get as warm as the rest of the house. My room is approximately 10X10 and this heater warms the room nicely when the door is kept closed. It does take a little while to warm the area so I turn it on an hour or so before bedtime. I run it like 12 hours 8pm-8am so far no huge spike to my electric bill. This heater is quiet unlike regular floor space heaters and will not dry you out from constant hot air blowing!

This is a fantastic heater for a bedroom or any room. We already have one in my son's room and now we are adding one to our daughter's room. They heat up the room so nicely and they look great. The option to paint it is also great so you really can't see it on the wall. The only bad thing is that is does get very hot so you want to keep your kids away from it and there is no thermostat on it so once it's on it stays on and it can get pretty warm in the room with the door closed. With that said, we would still buy more.
Definitely helps keep our room warm

Our bedroom is a converted garage that is not set up with any furnace coverage so we have to use space heaters to keep warm. We heat up the room with a 1500 watt space heater while we are awake and then leave this on while we sleep. It doesn't keep the room as warm as a regular space heater BUT 1) our room is larger than the 120 square feet recommended so I don't expect it to be as warm and 2) I feel MUCH safer with this on while we sleep. This would be a really good supplemental source of heat. Just make sure you mount it someplace where you won't touch it--it does get hot to the touch.
True energy saver!

I bought four of these panels to place in various rooms in my home and they really do the job! When I don't want to heat the whole house, say just the master bedroom at night, I just turn it on and it really warms up the bedroom nicely. I noticed a reduction in my bill right away. The bills were astronomical since I have radiant heat panels in the ceilings of my home, but they take so long to really warm up a 1600 sq. ft. house with super high ceilings. These panels look great, don't take up any space, and really warm up quickly. Highly recommended. I'm glad I made the investment!
