Combining their responsibility to the community and their desire to be environmentally conscious, they have a program to reduce (or better yet, re-use) what they would normally dispose of... Early Childhood Resources has eliminated almost all of their cardboard waste by implementing commercial cardboard shredding equipment in its facilities to convert cardboard destined for the landfill into some of the best packing material available.
Competition typically demands lower costs and with it, labor intense jobs are being exported faster and faster every year. Early Childhood Resources, being committed to "Maximum Value," balances the demands from the marketplace with the practicality and social values of finding ways to maximize the capabilities of those in our community with developmental disabilities, and want to work! The program provides a stimulating and developmentally enriching environment. These individuals gain valuable social and work skills while earning competitive wages, and creating "Maximum Value" in their products.

Lightweight but otherwise perfect

A heavyweight version is used at my child's daycare, so I was expecting that. Otherwise, these chairs are excellent. They feel sturdy and I love that there are sides so my 12 month old doesn't fall off. He loves pulling up on these, as well as pushing them around the non-carpeted room (they have rubber stoppers on the feet that help with grip). We use these chairs daily at his table where he eats (we don't have a kitchen table). We got the 8" size so that he would fit in them longer and even though his feet barely touch the floor he is comfortable. He gets out on his own and often tries to sit in them on his own. I am very satisfied with this purchase. I do not understand why some reviews are surprised that the adults cannot fit in these chairs. They are clearly made for toddlers. The sides are there for the child's stability and the sides are the primary reason I purchased this style of chair and not another.
Well designed toddler chair

Attractive wood toddler chair that is sturdy (once assembled), and yet light enough for a toddler to pull out himself. Downside is that the width of the chair base makes it unable to push under the table we chose.
Kids Love These Chairs!
Debra from Clifton Park, NY – Verified Buyer
Children love these chairs and so do my staff. Simple to clean and they always look beautiful. Plan on buying more again! Bought these a few months again and they're holding up great. Really like that all the edges are rounded so no one gets injured.
Excellent Non-toxic Chair for ABA Table Work
LeAnn from Orange, CA – Verified Buyer
This chair is green guard certified by a third party. It is a stringent test for low-emissionsnon-toxic. (See ECR4Kids website for details). I used this chair for table work for ABA for my 20 month old. Therapist says the sides on the chair help little ones with posture and the surrounding chair structure helps them to focus. He outgrew the chair and I am back for the largest size. Therapist said to keep with side arms instead of using the straight back chair with no arms. He said this is what they use in preschool and helps child to get used to it. Unfortunately, ECR4Kids does not make a table that works with the smaller chairs. I sawed off the legs to shorten table - you can order just legs for table from ECR4Kids. Very happy with chair. Highly recommend.

My girls use these chair since they were 1 years old. They are now 3 and 4 and still enjoy doing their activities on it. It looks good, great material, and very sturdy!

Highest quality and best price.
Miss Puddle Duck's Day Care from Redford, Michigan
I bought six of these chairs for my in-home day care many years ago. They are extremely sturdy and I have never had to tighten a screw or glue a joint unlike many other chairs we've tried. The stacking knobs on the back of the chairs allow us to stack 3 or 4 chairs together without worry of them tumbling down on little ones. The handle on the back allows me to carry and move them easily and the handles on the arm allow small children the independence to move chairs where they like. When given a choice, the kids always choose these chairs over all the others. The simple design and high quality hard wood with a durable finish makes these chairs very easy to clean. The price today is the same as it was when I bought them many years ago. Highest quality and best price.
Wish these came in other finishes

These chairs are like the ones at my son's daycare, which are perfect for tiny tots who are still too small to use most of the child-sized furniture sold in stores. Most child-sized chairs have seat heights between 10-14 inches. These chair heights start at 6 inches. I don't know what the difference is between these, which sell for $60+/pair, and the ones that sell for $50+/each, but these chairs are SOLID, well constructed, and will last a long time. I got the 8-inch size, and our 4-year-old neice sat in one just fine. No adult could sit in one, though, and that's been an occasional draw-back when my son wants me to sit next to him in the other chair. Also, the 8-inch is still a bit high for my one-year-old to sit in, and I wish I had gotten the 6-inch, but he'll probably grow into these in no time, and use them for years. I wish they came in other finishes.
