Combining their responsibility to the community and their desire to be environmentally conscious, they have a program to reduce (or better yet, re-use) what they would normally dispose of... Early Childhood Resources has eliminated almost all of their cardboard waste by implementing commercial cardboard shredding equipment in its facilities to convert cardboard destined for the landfill into some of the best packing material available.
Competition typically demands lower costs and with it, labor intense jobs are being exported faster and faster every year. Early Childhood Resources, being committed to "Maximum Value," balances the demands from the marketplace with the practicality and social values of finding ways to maximize the capabilities of those in our community with developmental disabilities, and want to work! The program provides a stimulating and developmentally enriching environment. These individuals gain valuable social and work skills while earning competitive wages, and creating "Maximum Value" in their products.

This shelf arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy and stylish. With our old shelf (a standard bookshelf), my twin toddlers would make a big mess every day when they pulled all the books off the shelf as a means to access the books they wanted. With this shelf, the mess is much less because they can easily see which books they want and only pull those books down that they are interested in looking at. The shelf looks great in their room and holds a lot of books of various sizes. Furthermore, its the only front-facing shelf I could find that has more than 3 tiers.
Best bookshelf out there!

Got this book stand for my book obsessed 18 month old- it works great. It has 5 shelves each maybe 3 inches deep. It's pretty solid once fixed and took half hour to assemble. We fit about 20 board books in here. A few of the pieces were chipped at corners which was the only reason I docked a star.

When I had my daycare several years back I had one of these. Its so nice to display the books forward facing, much more inviting for children. When we found out we were going to be grandparents , I KNEW this was a must have in my grandsons new room. Now to fill it with great books for those wonderful read to me times ! Also the shipping time was excellent.. very quick !

excellent size. This bookstand easily holds 30-35 books of varying sizes and still be able to see enough of the front of the book to know which one it is. i place bigger books on the top shelf and smaller ones on the bottom. I've read concerns about the books leaning forward. I didn't really notice that happening and if it does you can still see their titles. Now my child ( 16 mos.)can easily see and pick out the book he wants to read. (he's to young to read titles). I feel this product vs. a standard book shelf helps promote my child's interest in books and his independence . very happy with this purchase.
The best book display; worth the price

This is much larger than the average book slings available and you can see much more of the book covers. It holds a lot of the books, we have about 40 on ours, many are paperbacks that are stacked on top of each other. We have no problems with the books flopping forward, they display very nicely. The only con is that mine has an ugly brand logo burned into the woodgrain on the front bottom wood. It really stands out and looks very unattractive. I was disappointed in this because the photo does not show it. I may buy another one for my young toddler, because my now kidergardener still loves his. But I wish I could get it without that logo on it.
just as ordered!

bought this bookshelf with hopes of spurring-on my boys' interest in reading. thought if they could "see" the books maybe they'd be more inclined to want to "read" the books. so far it's working just as i'd hoped! without any prompting (& almost daily), my 7 yr old is picking out at least 1 book to read on his own!! WAHOO! it was well priced, easy to assemble, sturdy, and the neutral color allows it to blend in well. :)
Great book display

Our toddler enjoys choosing the books to read and can put them back in their places very easily.
