Great heater 2nd time around
Michael from Charlottesville, VA – Verified Buyer
First one was delivered and it started heating right away but when it cut off it never came back on. They shipped out another one right away and it's been working great ever since we got it. Not sure what happened to the first one but they back their product up and provide great service.
A Good Heater!

Like the features of setting the temperature , fan speed and amount of run time with the remote. And that the cabinet is cool to the touch when in heating mode .

I turned it the first night it did heat up the 800 sq foot room in about an hour. I am happy with this heater.

This product is good. My experience, the cold has gripped the south, coming from the north I know cold. Because I know cold so well I know how to heat. Not being rich I have learned the secrets of heating on a budget. This heater is a part of the secret. This heater is the best value in it’s class, great finish, easy to use, move & store, run’s quite. This heart projects a soft heat, unlike a direct heat one maybe use to. The ease of use; because I have used so many heater I just cut it on and off with remote, not paying attention to instruction and modes. The heater continued to kick on as designed but as were testing the unit to see how well it heated and how long t

I love this heater. I bought this while living in a rental unit with an old inefficient furnace using ridiculously expense oil. We switched to using this in whatever room we were in, and it cut our bills dramatically. It heats up a room very quickly. The cats jump on top of it and it's not a worry because it's cool. I do wish the wheels would lock though. I ended up putting something under the wheels so that when the cats did jump on it, there was no risk of them moving it and accidentally pointing it at something flammable. Powerful, quiet, pet safe wheels don't lock
Dr. Infrared space heater DR-968
Tim from Dewitt, MI – Verified Buyer
I looked at heaters for a while before settling on this one. It is not a true infrared heater because of the ceramic element but it also warms up faster and the air is hotter coming out than the infrareds. It is fairly quiet. The fan comes on to help the heater gauge room temperature every 5 minutes or so. Can't even hear it come on unless the room is quiet. Have had it for a month now and it is functioning well. Have had it in our great room. Heater is better suited to a smaller room - would be ideal in a room 1000 square feet or smaller.

We have a gallery in a mountain town in Montana and the buildings are over 100 years old...this little unit along with an electric fireplace gives us the opportunity to be open for the Christmas Holidays...with sometime having sub-zero weather....Will be great to cut costs at home after the Holidays are over and the gallery is closed. Pros: Looks nice, like the remote and it does what it said it would....very pleased. Cons: None
Gets The Job Done...Wasnt Taken For Granted
Robert from Northern California – Verified Buyer
This unusual looking (maybe the word different...is more accurate) space heater wasn't acquired without some anxiety. However, it operates well in a 700 square foot room..., and that's why it was purchased. The controls are not intuitively understood, but taking the time to look at the manual before you use it...will pay dividends. The question of economical operation isn't addressed...because there has not been a way in which to measure its operational cost. This has been a newsworthy year in terms of frigid temperatures for the majority of the nation, but this heater nevertheless competes with the natural elements to put out a highly respectable performance. This review concerns itself with nothing else but a binary question of does it work well or does it not work well. It works well, and is recommended, accordingly.
pushes out good amount of heat
Chen from Port Jefferson Station, NY – Verified Buyer
It makes a 15 x 15 small office very toasty with reasonably quiet air blow. Used it during the day --- turn it on around 8:45am and it will run continuously for about four hours to reach 72F, then it will auto-start once in a while. Used daily for a month now, and electricity bill show minor change. Also bought the DuraFlame Levingston at the same time, their effectiveness is similar, although DuraFlame is slightly louder (it's fun runs a couple minutes after the it is turned off to push out residual heat from the unit) but significantly better in the exterior built quality. Of course DuraFlame is more expensive than Dr. Heater. Both cool to the touch on the top so we often use them as side tables.
Toasty at My Home
Sandra from Tampa, FL – Verified Buyer
Hoping to put off review a little longer as here in Fl it was only chilly once this season. I did give Dr Heater 968 a try on the chilly day. It was not chilly in my home. Dr Heater kept it toasty just as I want from a portable heater. Having a remote control to operate it is ideal especially for night time operation when 2 sheets under. I really like having a thermostat that is accurate and not just a highlow setting. It is nice to know exactly what temperature it is running so I am not heating more than what is necessary. I recommend Dr Heater to anyone looking for a good quality heater that functions well and looks good too.
