Decent compact player
SH from PA– Verified Buyer
I bought this player as a starter to delve back into my old lp collection after many years. It is okay for its size and ease of use, but the sound isn't great and there is a slight wobble to the platter that, judging from other reviews of this player on other websites, is not uncommon. Thus, if your ears are highly sensitive to pitch undulations in music, this may not be the unit for you. That being said, it is a cute retro look that fits easily in most rooms. I get a lot of compliments on the vintage look of the player. You cannot close the lid and play a record so plan on having a wall to lean the lid on (it doesn't stay up by itself) or removing the lid entirely. This player works best for older albums (think 1930's -1950's ) because the cheaper speakers don't have to deal with booming stereo sound. I like the compact footprint of this unit, and would recommend it for someone who wants to revisit their old albums again without investing a lot of time and money and space in a larger more complicated system.
Good value for price

I have had this turntable for about 2 months and have had no problems with it. The speakers could use more bass but are good for the price. I find the volume is fine. It can be heard for a couple of rooms just set on medium. Works well with headphones. I have enjoyed listening to my old vinyl albums again. Have not tried the new ones so I don't know how it works with them. I also have not gotten around to using the software to copy the recordings yet so have no comment. I think a lot of the complaints are from people who want a huge sound and extras for a low price. It is exactly what I expected.
Fun and decent but not a wow sound
K from Acton, MA– Verified Buyer
We bought this for our 19 year old daughter who decided she wanted to buy a few albums. It was perfect for her as it wasn't too much money and she doesn't listen to them very often. Four stars is only because the sound is good but not great. Case is cute, but I don't know that I would trust it to be carried by the handle. Price was really good compared to other sites and stores. We haven't tried downloading album songs to the computer so can't say how well that works but if it does, it's a nice feature to have.
Great record player

First and foremost, I am by no means a connoisseur when it comes to record players. What I can say is this was a gift for a 13 year old and they loved it! Luckily I had saved a few records from my youth. The recipient enjoyed the quality of this gift and was soon playing the records straight from the box. I thought it was well made and should last for many years. This was the perfect gift to keep the recipient from playing his usual computervideo games. In fact everyone in the family enjoyed this record player. I would recommend this item for purchase.
Not for 7" 45s...
Johnny from New York, NY
Maybe it's just the particular one I purchased from Urban Outfitters, but I got this to play my 7" 45 collection. Before the record finishes, it stops and the tone arm automatically goes back to its starting position as if it had reached the end of the record cutting off the song before it finishes. Kind of disappointing considering Crosley is a renowned phonograph company… But, the tone is fine, volume ample, accessibility easy; a perfect player for something to keep in your bedroom and maybe even transport to a date's place for a night in, but if you're thinking about buying one of these, I'd say bring a 7" 45 to the store to see if it plays to the end. If you don't own any, then consider this a five star review. I did play a 12" 45 and the tone arm made it to the end. It's only having issues with the 7".
Thank you for great record player

Can't beat the value and quality. My brother and I recently renovated a house for a client who was selling it for her mother. She had two large containers of old 33-1/3 and very old 78 records that she gave me. This record player is just what I needed to play these records. What a great purchase, thank you very much. MY SON LOVES IT!
Roberta from San Francisco area– Verified Buyer
I bought this for my son as an early Christmas present. He inherited a lot of records and couldn't wait to listen to them. I researched over the internet, and based on the reviews and my very basic knowledge, I chose this one. My son immediately called me when he received it and told me he loves it. He said the sound is great, and he had zero complaints. He loves his music, so I'm sure I made the right choice. I love Wayfair prompt service and great prices.
