Contender 20 Tray Storage

I purchased this shelving unit and the bins for our home to organize all the little bunches of items that end up accumulating in multiple drawers and different desks... pens, scissors, tape, Polly Pockets, Squinkies... It has definitely done the job. Things are so much easier to find and the clutter is more manageable. The shelves' outer frame is made of a strong wood, I have no worries it will endure. The cons for this item are mainly one little and one big issue. A small issue: the instructions for shelf assembly were for a slightly different configuration of the main parts. I am a seasoned furniture assembler, so I was able to figure out how to assemble it without the error, but I can imagine it could really trip up someone newer to the process. The larger issue is that I purchased the bins for the shelves at a higher price than I normally would pay for plastic bins, but I wanted them to custom fit inside the cubbies. It turns out that the bins are smaller than the cubbies, so there are a couple inches of wasted space on the sides of the bins. I would have preferred the bins to almost fill the cubbies to utilize space. In conclusion, due to the cost of the bins and the overall cost of the shelves, I probably would not buy this again. However, it is sturdy and has done what I needed.
