Definately take the advice and use the rubber mallet and this will be up in your house in less than 10 min!!! Yes it really is that easy! And sturdy! This is VERY well built and holds a ton of stuff!! I built this using the alternative that it showed in the instructions and that is one unit with 3 shelves and one unit with 2 shelves which worked out even better for the weight and size of what I wanted to store. This is a great deal for the price!

This shelving unit was easy to assemble and I are easily bearing the weight of heavy items (paint cans, etc.) in my utility room. I like the solid shelves.

We were extremely impressed with this shelving unit. It is very sturdy and was a breeze to put together. Probably one of the easiest furniture assembly projects we've ever had. The shelving unit is exactly what we were wanting, and it was reasonably priced. We highly recommend this product.
