I saw the older 1 star review and since all the newer ones had more stars I though the vendor had made changes to the shelving unit. Turns out that review was correct. This unit sucks to try and put together - the hooks don't stay hooked into the posts and I've spent over 30 minutes trying to get all of the base pieces to stay together. Once I think they're all in one pops out and then another. Plus, there really would be no way to move the unit from where you are constructing it to another location without everything popping out of the slots again. I'm basically going to put all the parts out by the garbage and hope at least the metal collectors get some value out of it - because I sure didn't.

Great quality, great price. I spray painted mine black (the shelves are a bit cheap looking) and use it as an industrial themed shoe storage shelf.

As expected. Easy to put together and great for basement closet storage items. A few different ways of putting the final product together.

Great product for the price. I used 3 shelves to make 2 so that the height is 7 12 ft and mounted them to the wall. Great for 12ft garages. They were very easy to assemble.
Great gift ... for an enemy

Instructions for assembly of base assume the unit holds together. It doesn't. Even if base is completed, inserting the lower shelf will dismantle the unit.
