Catskill Craftsmen is located in Stamford, New York, a small rural village nestled in the northern sections of the Catskill Mountains, at the headwaters of both the Schoharie and Delaware rivers.
Catskill Craftsmen began operations in 1948, and has developed over the years, becoming the nation's leading manufacturer of RTA (ready to assemble) hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. The company is privately held, and takes great pride in its products and services.
Sixty dedicated employees work hard to insure that our products are delivered rapidly and meet your satisfaction. Catskill's manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill is proud to say, "our operations generate no wood waste".
Catskill is also a leading manufacturer of exclusive, private label kitchen workcenters for the trade. Their products are described as "high quality at fair prices".

Great kitchen cart
Susan from Allentown, PA– Verified Buyer
Just moved to a smaller place and needed some extra storage. This is great because some is open, some behind doors and there's a drawer too. It needs to be put together, but it wasn't too difficult. My only gripe is that the directions are those "just picture" ones...no words. Not a big fan since the pics aren't always that great. But the pieces were all well marked and it went together easily. Great buy for the money.
great little cart
Susan from Thompsontown, PA– Verified Buyer
This is a good looking and sturdy little cart. My husband and my dad put it together in about a half hour with no problems. We have our microwave on it and there is still room enough on the top to set down your plate. Cabinet is large enough and strong enough for my most used pots and pans. Drawer is not deep but there is room for dishtowels or cooking utensils. Great for extra space.
Perfect kitchen island
Weiying from Morristown, NJ– Verified Buyer
My kitchen doesn't have that much counter space so I decided to get an island and the size of this fits perfectly! It was easy to assemble, though it did take a while. But it was very sturdy and well-made for the price you pay. And I love the counter top!!
Those darn doors!
E. from Pennsylvania– Verified Buyer
One of the doors on the cart just would not go on. Assembly is quite the little project. I couldn't do it myself and ended up having to get some help. I was missing a couple parts as well. The finished project turned out great and I'm really loving it. I'd rate it a little higher if assembly wasn't so complicated.

Preston Hollow Kitchen Cart
Bonita from Mossyrock, WA– Verified Buyer
This cart is very nice and easy to assemble....my husband assembled it left-handed, because his right arm is broken. So, not only is it made well and looks good, but it is a 'no-brainer' to assemble.
Christina from Pine Beach, NJ– Verified Buyer
I love this cart. It's big enough to store things, but not so big as to overwhelm my small kitchen. And assembly was pretty easy. I did it on my own!
Kaye from Lincoln, NE– Verified Buyer
I received the Catskill Craftsmen, Inc, Preston Hollow Kitchen Cart as promised. My son put it together in about an hour and a half. Wonderful quality. Everything fit perfectly. He glued all joints just to make it tighter. I love it.
MaryAnn from Jacksonville, FL– Verified Buyer
I use this kitchen cart in the laundry room. There is an odd space between my washer and scrub tub. This cart fits perfectly. I left the open shelf out so I can put a full size trash can in that area. I works great and has saved me the cost of build-in shelving.
Difficult Assembly Resulted in Out of Align Product.
Linda from Irvine, CA– Verified Buyer
The assembly of this item was very complex. The first step was to screw in two guide rails. The holes were only partially bored and it required extreme pressure to get it filled it. The concept of the assembly was to have everything loose fit until the end when it would be tightened. I ran into continual problems with parts slipping out of alignment. I'm not a good reader of the wordless "easy to assemble" directions -- the diagrams make it difficult to discern front from back and up from down. It would have been far easier to include some photos. You don't have to print it -- just direct people to the website where you have photos or videos! The final product ended up being slightly out of alignment. I just wasn't happy with the assembly or the final product.
