I needed storage space for my stand mixer and things I do not use everyday. It also had to fit in a space in a storage closet of my kitchen because I have no nooks for this. It fit the bill perfectly for sixe and design with so much storage I decided to amke it my 'baking center'. It was pretty easy to construct and the only chage in the instructions I would make is : BEFORE you put those wheels into the sleeves, pound those sleeves FIRMLY so they are fully seated and will not fall out cause after the wheels go into them they will not come out and pounding them into the wood bottom was a bit awkward, but I was able to get it done and the other three I poujnded good and hard and no problems since on any of them. It rolls nicely and does a good job. love love love it.
Catskill Craftsmen is located in Stamford, New York, a small rural village nestled in the northern sections of the Catskill Mountains, at the headwaters of both the Schoharie and Delaware rivers.
Catskill Craftsmen began operations in 1948, and has developed over the years, becoming the nation's leading manufacturer of RTA (ready to assemble) hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. The company is privately held, and takes great pride in its products and services.
Sixty dedicated employees work hard to insure that our products are delivered rapidly and meet your satisfaction. Catskill's manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill is proud to say, "our operations generate no wood waste".
Catskill is also a leading manufacturer of exclusive, private label kitchen workcenters for the trade. Their products are described as "high quality at fair prices".
