This is a beautiful addition to our kitchen! It is somewhat time consuming to put together, but worth it. Take your time and do it right.

This island was delivered quickly and in excellent condition. Over the years I have put together all types of furniture kits but this one was way above all others in quality fit and finish. While the various parts are not labeled once you lay them out and refer to the excellent instructions it's pretty much a no-brainer. It took me 3 or 4 hours to put it together but it was done one time and came out great. Extremely happy with the finished product.
More of a DIY project than I thought.

This cart is came damaged, but one call into the manufacturer and things were taken care of immediately. I can't say enough about them. It should probably be packaged in three boxes instead of two so it's not quite so heavy for the poor delivery persons. The cart itself is okay. It's a bit more of a DIY project than we were planning on. There's not much finish to it. We expected the butcher block top to be unfinished because it's a cutting board, but the rest of the cart doesn't have much finish on it at all. We are having some trouble with the hardware on the cabinets hitting the table top extension on the side, but I guess we'll figure that one out with time. I wish the shelves were a little more substantial. They are really thin and just made of partical board. I wish the whole thing were more solid wood or even press board instead of particle board, but I guess you get what you pay for. And it's not like I paid over $1000. It was quite the project to assemble and my husband is quite the handy man.

Catskill Craftsmen is located in Stamford, New York, a small rural village nestled in the northern sections of the Catskill Mountains, at the headwaters of both the Schoharie and Delaware rivers.
Catskill Craftsmen began operations in 1948, and has developed over the years, becoming the nation's leading manufacturer of RTA (ready to assemble) hardwood kitchen islands, carts, and work-centers. The company is privately held, and takes great pride in its products and services.
Sixty dedicated employees work hard to insure that our products are delivered rapidly and meet your satisfaction. Catskill's manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. Lumber is purchased from area sawmills, then dried, manufactured, and packaged on site. All sawdust, shavings and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process is converted into wood pellet fuel, and used to heat homes. Catskill is proud to say, "our operations generate no wood waste".
Catskill is also a leading manufacturer of exclusive, private label kitchen workcenters for the trade. Their products are described as "high quality at fair prices".
