It looks just like it did in the ad. Not too hard to put together either. But it is VERY heavy. And by the way - I opted for lift gate services... They did take it off the truck but only left it at the front door. So have someone to help you. You need two or more strong people to lift this (a hand truck would help). Other than that, I am very satisfied with this item. But I am looking into getting some sort of filing system to go underneath - turns out that probably would be nice to have incorporated into it but I knew when I ordered it that it wasn't there and for the price it's worth it!
