Great file cabinet with a nice finish. Blended nicely with the other furniture. I would recommend this cabinet. I did hire someone to put it together.
Nice finished product

I like the finished product, but putting it together was frustrating. Starter holes were often misaligned or too small to help, so needed an electric drill for most of it. But I am satisfied with it now that it's done. It looks nice and seems sturdy.

Assembly took some time, but this cabinet is nice looking and holds lots of files. So many, in fact, that I had to weight down the back to keep it from tipping forward if top drawer was fully open. Drawers open smoothly and unit feels substantial with a clean modern design, would buy it again.

This was perfect for the price...only left off a star because I'm sure there are better files out there (although, more expensive). I would purchase it again and would recommend it to others. I'm very happy with it.

The cabinet was a little cheaply made. My husband tried to affix the leveling buttons on the bottom and the hole broke out on all four locations so we had to improvise to make it work.
Bestar file cabinet

Very nice construction. Not cheap like the ones from china. It's made in Canada and the quality is great for compressed board.
Solid construction but some kinks in assembly

Good quality, looks nice, serves well as a lateral file. Assembly process appears somewhat complicated at first but is manageable. A few holes for screws appear angled wrong, caused holes in particle board.

This cabinet was a fabulous buy for the money. It arrived in tact with all the pieces, but it was slightly difficult to assemble.
Not worth the price

Online, the file looked good. In person, it looks very cheap. The wood grain print is very poor. My husband is very handy, but it took him over 4 hours to put this together. Some of the holes did not line up, and he had to re-drill them. I should have just waited until the lateral file I really wanted was back in stock at my local office supply store - that one was also $60 cheaper. After my husband spent so much time putting this together, I will just keep it, but I am not very happy with this purchase.
Attractive piece of furniture.

I purchased this file cabinet to replace another lateral file cabinet. This one has smaller drawers, so I am unable to place letter-size files side by side -- less room for my letter-size files. However, the cabinet is much sturdier, and I like the caster under the bottom drawer for stability. The previous file cabinet had the runners already installed, so it was a bit of a challenge figuring out how to install the runners on the sides of the drawers -- instructions could have more clear or the drawer sides could have been labeled "right" and "left".
