Sturdy and attractive
Kathleen from Royal oak, MI – Verified Buyer
Panels are machined well. Rustic surface is med brown stain (darker than photo) rough (may have slight spinters) and wood imperfections (wood filler doesn't take stain the same way but is usually located in inconspicuous areas) I use mine in a bedroom as an alternative to drawers. I have a lot of clothes and two stacked together hold a lot of jeans, shirts, sox, underwear, sheets and towels, pjs with plenty of room to spare in a low profile readily accessible way that takes up roughly the same wall space as a medium dresser. First assembly is slow, second goes faster. Strong pine/cedar smell which I like, and while I'm not sensitive to odors, I still had to air it out in the garage for a couple days to reduce it to a pleasant fresh smell in a 12 x 14 bedroom. For those who must move items from shipping address to another location without benefit of a truck: Cartons are too big for a sedan but can be broken down to fit in a backseat: 4 side panels, top and bottom panels roughly same length as sides, a paper grocery bag holds shelves and hardware, and finally a large back panel that fits easily on the floor behind the front seat. I bought two and both units took a mere 1/2 backseat of my Plymouth Breeze and were light enough to carry easily up two flights of stairs.
Perfect for my toddler
Katherine from Rosemount, MN – Verified Buyer
Bought this as an alternative to the shelf with the plastic bins. This is much more solid and stands up to my toddler's energy and enthusiasm for throwing toys in it. I like that the compartments are big enough for his everyday toys and books. Putting it together took some time and unscrewing as we put some parts on backwards or upside down. The picture directions could use a little more detail or a zoomed in view. We managed and it was obvious if you did something wrong so not too much sweat but just a heads up. Overall a great product- just wish that the price was closer to $100. Feel like I could have gone to a store and gotten this preassembled for the price I bought it at.

I absolutely love this piece! It is so sturdy, so well made, and I love the cedar!! I get a lot of compliments on it since it is so unique. It really gives some charm to my laundry room and helps it function more like a mud room without expensive built ins. My husband's big size 12 steel toe work boots fit in the middle compartment - which prevents him from tracking all that construction site mud and tar into my house. Worth it just for that!!!
Perfect for 3 season room
Jill from Maple Grove, MN – Verified Buyer
I was looking for something to help organize our 3 season room (which also gets used like a mud room). This cubby was perfect for shoe storage, and allowed us an easy place to find our gloves, hats, etc. Easy to put together, all parts were labeled correctly. Took about 45min to assemble with hand screw driver. Would be much faster with power screw driver though.

I am using two of these units as storage in my son's room. His room is mostly blue and red, and I wanted something more neutral to store toys and video games. These cubbies seem sturdy and don't necessarily look like they belong in a garden shed or garage. I've already had one person ask me where I got them. Pros: Sturdy, look good, hold a lot of stuff

I love this!!!! It's the perfect size and width for where I placed it! I had a friend put it together since I'm sure I would have had problems and taken forever. My friend put it together in a short time .It's now in my sunroom and fits into the perfect space. The wood is pretty and it smelled good! A great product for those wanting to organize!
Works great for toys and books
Michelle from Flushing, NY – Verified Buyer
I needed compact storage for my kids' toys and books in my small apartment. This unit is much sturdier than anything else I found out there without being too heavy. The cubbies are perfect for holding their toys without them falling out. The shelves hold even the largest picture books. Assembly took approximately 1.5-2 hours.
perfect for me
Rachel from Trumansburg, NY – Verified Buyer
lots of pieces to put together- just stay focused and give yourself a little time. this is a rustic piece. looks good in my rustic-ish house and holds a lot of stuff. very useful in our entry way for holding hats, mittens, bike helmets, wallets, etc.
Very happy - use to store clothing for a gentleman in wheel chair. Easier access than dress drawers.

I was feeling a little overwhelmed when I unpacked this and saw how many pieces there were. All in all it went together pretty easy. Instructions suggest a Philips Screw driver, I suggest a POWER Philips Screwdriver though it could be done with a manual one.
Good storage unit

Unit matched description. Fairly easy to assemble. A drill makes it easier and faster to assemble. Instructions could be a little clearer. Using in my kitchen - I may buy another for outside use for chicken nest boxes.
